Yes. The world has lost one of its brightest points of light. Thank goodness for recordings! We can still enjoy that beautiful voice.

It is, indeed, a dark day. Even someone who doesn't particularly like opera could appreciate his full, rich voice.
I'm not an opera lover, but I enjoyed hearing Pavarotti sing and I will miss hearing his voice. Maybe we can get lucky and see some rerun specials with him on PBS.

On the news all over the place. He will be another great voice in the history of recordings, even if I personally am not a great fan.
I guess someone will be enjoying it in the afterlife with him there.
He died from pancreatic cancer. For any men reading this, please remember this can be resolved IF it is diagnosed early, so please don't leave it until too late.
Whether Pavarotti had his diagnosed early or not, I do not know. It is not a sin to be ill.

Yes I read about his death while on the computer actually. It is so sad for his family and fans. Good thing we have his recordings so we will still have his amazing voice even if he has gone.
