Newspaper & TV

That's easy. I retired from the newspaper, and I get home delivery for half-price. Next would be the Internet. TV is just sound bites.

CBS recently used a moustache contest in its teasers, and when it came time to show the piece, it was only the teaser all over again. No news.

Newspaper and Internet are the only places you can get in-depth reporting. (CNN drones (it's best for breaking news), but Headline News is OK.)

I read the newspaper every day. But I also watch the evening news on TV.

English language short wave radio. It's been my chief source of news since January of 1949, when my father presented me with a Grundig V-60 receiver on my birthday. It's allowed me to be an aural witness to the history of our times.
Sadly, more and more international broadcasters are no longer beaming their programs to North America. Some have even foresworn English language broadcasting entirely. But, many have jumped on the "information age" bandwagon and do streaming broadcasts over the internet.

All sources...TV is all but worthless..this is news bites. Paper: I read two papers, a Liberal paper (LA Times) and a Conservative paper (OC Regisiter)..amazing at how the same story can sound like two different events. Internet: Up to the minute, balanced if you watch youtube.com, Excite, and Yahoo. The only source I consider a complete waste of time, but always a laugh is Fox "news" where it is much more like the Enquirer...on this channel, they just make up their own version and present it as news.

Usually by reading the newspaper, but if for some reason I cannot get a paper I will watch the news or view the news through the local stations website.

TV mostly. Every morning while my children are eating I sit and watch the news. CNN. Then after that, whatever happens, I am usually unaware of. Until 9. Because the kids have the TV.
