I used to be a carb lover, but that got me into a lot of trouble several years ago, weight wise, so I got permission from my doctor to go on the Atkin's Diet, & it was the best thing I could have done for myself. I learned to say "no" to carbs a long time ago, & I leave them alone. I came too far to start eating breads, potatoes, etc. I do eat pasta once in a while, but it's wheat pasta & it has a lot less carbs.

Yes, my ex was a meat and potatoes man, and I have peeled enough potatoes, to the point I thought I was on KP duty in the army. Every day he had to have them.
But I myself do love potatoes, rice and bread to an extreme.
I know I should not indulge so often, but can't stop myself.

I very rarely eat bread...maybe a couple of slices every few weeks. But potatoes, pasta and rice are all very good, and I rotate having each of these with our nightly suppers.

I'm a very good diabetic and limit those delicious foods to a bare minimum. I'd love to eat a ton of it but have learned some self control over the years. Not much self control but some.

Not so much anymore. I went on Adkins and lost a great deal of weight, so I have become accustomed to not many carbs.
I do eat more vegetables than before, instead of one veg, potatoes , rice or needles, I make 2 vegies.
