I leave one of the kitchen lights on 24/7 and also the utility room bathroom (that's where one of the litter boxes is), and I leave a dim lamp on in the small room at the end of the upstairs hallway.

Saves jillions of toe stubs and hip jabs in middle-of-the-night jaunts.

I could have been more honest and called them night lights, but that sounds like a kid thing.

They never wear a frown for lack of that legal tender. There isn't a man in town who isn't a regal spender.
They never have to work on their hands and knees cuz they live in a place where money grows on trees.
Oh the money tree the money tree what a beautiful sight to see Why couldn't it happen to you and me....and so on

I've got a little side table that when you open the lid plays a tune. The musical movement has stopped working and I can't remember what it should play.
So my question is, do you know the name of the tune that your music box plays?

When I see those beautiful newspaper photos of golden anniversarys I often thing here are people of character. They must have had losses, hurts, health problems all the common problems and yet they stuck it out. With forgiveness for hurts, transgressions, wrongs, slights they conquered time. What do you think or have you experienced.

For me, it depends on the context. If we're at the bowling alley, my daughter will call me by my first name. She says if she calls out, "Mom," ten women will answer. Otherwise, it's "Mom" and sometimes "God, Mother!" My stepdaughter calls me
Mum if she feels endearing, or by my first name if she is being businesslike. My son has never called me anything but "Mom." (To my face.)

retire at the suggested age and let the younger people take our place in the working world, Or do you think we should work on. I know some people look forward to retiring and others dread it. What do you think?

I've been brutally honest, sometimes examining my motivations in past actions, and I've found myself wondering, "Why didn't I just lie? Who'll be the wiser?"

The answer, of course, is, I'll know. I've never been a good liar. But no one here can see my face turn red and my eyes start to shift side to side. I still can't do it.

Spot had diabetes. I had to controll his intake of food stuff and his activities. Test his urine. And give him a daily shot. Catching the urine was a sight, you should have seen him trying to hop away from me with the one leg up in the air.
