Indeed we do! Night-lights plugged into the hall, the kitchen, the bathroom...our house is a step-up and step-down kind of design, so strategic lighting at night is essential. We also have outdoor lights on photo-cells since we live out in the middle of the woods...with no near neighbors with helpful barn lights and such. A power-outage at night plunges us into what life must be like inside a black velvet sack! We have 2 generators, probably 10 flashlights, and the power company on speed-dial... Electricity is still cheaper than a trip to the ER and 6 weeks in a cast, right?

No. When everyone is sleeping, I usually am still up and going. But, when I go to bed, I turn off all lights. However, I will say that my house has super security and if anyone even comes into the yard, the outside lights all come on. There are motion detectors all over the outside and one from the second floor as well. So, if there is an intruder, I will be able to see him clearly before he ever puts a hand on my house.
As for inside things...like going potty in the middle of the night...no, I think I walk there with my eyes shut. LOL. Not sure but, it seems that way. There is absolutely nothing between my bed abd the bathroom and so, it is a straight shot!

We leave the kitchen light on all the time. It started when the kids were babies and we had to get up for the bottle feedings and continues during their childhood so they'd have some light if they got up at night to use the bathroom. Now that 2/3 of the kids have moved out and 1/3 of them is 45 and still home, I still leave the kitchen lights on.
The reason now, however, is both habit and because the refrigerator we now have so fills its space that you have to use the loop of a fly-swatter to flip the light switch, and that's a real pain. Besides that, it's kind of spooky when the house is totally dark.

I don't leave lights on 24/7, but when I go to bed, I keep a nightlight on in the bathroom, & in the living room, I leave the light on that's in the base of my Hurrican lamp. It's a very dim light, that takes a nightlight bulb, but it was the last thing my 15 y/o son bought me before he died, so I keep the base light on at night. It's a personal reason for me.

I keep the house as dark as posible while sleeping. They say that absolute darkness is one of the keys to getting a good night's sleep, so I even cover up the little lights on the TV, and the display on the alarm clock.
We each have a flashlight on the nightstand for those middle of the night jaunts.

Yes, we have nightlights in almost every room in the house. Our house is large and dark.
At bedtime, the two in the front part of the house are left on. Until you've broken a toe, you might not understand the value of being able to see clearly in the middle of the night, with dilated eyes, to walk freely to the fridge for more water.

Our house is small so we only leave a light on for the grandchildren to get to the bathroom. My husband leaves on a small light that I usually turn off last thing. I have insomnia and need total darkness.

No way! I conserve the juice. The street light through my front window lets in enough light so I can see where I'm going if I need to get up in the night. I have the lowest utility bills in town and darned proud of it.

Make sure none are old lights. I went to a friends once, leaving a a lamp on, to notice as I came home the kitchen was on fire. I had to run in and put it out. My friend call the fire dept. The fire dept. said it was the old wires of the lamp that had caused it.

I leave one kitchen light on and one in the office since I knocked a wall down to open up the area, so now there isn't a long hallway to the bathroom.
The hallway was long and dark, I called it the birth canal.
Hated that thing!
