OK, I ran out the door so fast, with my cowboy hat, that I didn't get a chance to mention that I asked my husband how my hair looked and he suggested I put on a hat! Isn't if funny how the details can change your answers?

I would have to ask, "Why is he making you wear a hat?" If it is to protect you from the sun, then I would say you have a husband who genuinely cares about your well-being. If he is making you wear a hat because you're having a bad hair day, or recently got a bad hair cut, then he needs to be put in his place. In fact, no matter what the reason, he needs to be told, "Thanks, but I make my own decisions about my body."

If I am out in the hot sun or in Ice cold weather I do wear a hat... Also if I am taking herbs or medications that say "do not go in the direct sunlight" I do. I find being on the fair side it is good to wear a hat! Besides many hats are so stylish, I think it is a shame women don't wear them anymore. Still it should be a personal choice. Did he give you a reason??? If not, ask. He might be trying to help protect you and your health!

I have a kind of sailer hat that I wear to the beach when it's hot out. And a kind of billed hat, which is too small, and invariably blows into the lake.
My choice, not my husband's.
In winter, I wear either a stocking hat, or this funky looking earmuff set. Again, my choice.

No, I don't wear a hat to go out. Your husband is "making" you wear a hat to go to the store? Why is that? Does he wear a hat when he goes out? No man will ever tell me to wear a hat or anything else when I go to the store or anywhere else.

Speaking as a husband, How does he make you go to the store? Or wear a hat? Or do anything else?
I would like to know his secret.
On second thought, Maybe not!!
Bless you.

This question is too fishy for me. For example, where are you located? What nationality is your husband. The reason I say this is because here in the 21st century those things are unheard of. I can see where the other folks answered with concerns about health. But you are going to the store and not taking a walk across the desert.

No, I do have a baseball cap that I wear on disasters because it has the red cross symbol on it and I am short, so no one sees me half the time. Now that I said I was short, wearing a hat makes me look like a mushroom LOL

In this heat, I sure do! I am on medications which say not to be exposed to the sun and so, I need to listen to that advice.
I love hats! But, my favorite ones are my Winter hats! They are so warm and some are just darling!
