Yeah, like washboards and willy wagons. Wearing white after labour day and whatever it takes to stay married for 50 years.

Actually, we usually talk of a whole lot of different things that affect us as Seniors. And then we like taking trips down memory lane (quite a bit lately). We all pull together into a solid wall of support when one of our own is going through the death of a friend. And we are all there to laugh at the latest antics of our favourite grandchildren.

So, yeah, stuff that really matters just about covers it.

Yes! This room is where sensible conversation takes place. We all have something in common. 'Common sense'.
Those who do contribute honestly and sometimes with humour, feel that there are sincere people out there who do care about others. Very few people can go through their life without asking a question. The more we ask, the more we learn. If we can show compassion or appreciation when it is needed, then lets do so.
In our life we are dealt a hand of cards and we play them in the best way we can. Not everyone can get a 'royal flush' but sometimes just a 'pair' will win the hand. Its so good to be able to learn from one anothers skills. Keep up the great work all you Guys & Gals.

Steve, it's the only one I have found that has real people, if you get my meaning. I was spending a lot of time trying to find good sites. I found pets to be a fairly good site, and home and garden also.

We have an occasional problem but if they are rude, I just don't answer their questions. If they are nice, I do and so does everyone else. I think the majority of us feel like it will set a good example for a young person to know that some people don't have to be rude to be liked.

I hope you like this site. We share a lot of memories and it is fun.

Seems that way to me. I will check out other rooms and people seem to be competing with each other. At least in here you can speak your mind and enjoy all the funny answers.
If you have a serious question, who better to ask than a Senior Citizen.

Most of us go to other sections as well, but like homing birds, return to 'Seniors' for our daily dose of the stuff that matters. Very often, even ordinary questions evoke interesting and stimulating answers. And of course there are those familiar 'faces', the regulars who come here and make us all feel we are part of a big virtual family.

I do ask questions in other sections but this seems to be the most serious. So this is the place to ask. However, if you say this is a serious question, people are better about their answers. Family and relationships has been good with my difficult questions. I would go there also, sometimes I will ask the same question in several sections. This seems to work best.

I call it the insane, sane asylum. All the other forums are all child's banter, about nothing.
Here we actually help others and share memories and experiences, good and bad. Get a lot of laughs share our days. and thoughts. All without sniping and bickering at each other. Oh to wish the world could get along as we do.

Probably is. I visit the R/S category a lot and there are some vicious people speaking of Christ. All the others seem to be kids. I am 53.

They say with age comes wisdom. Perhaps, people here talk about stuff that really matters because they don't have time to waste on frivolous nonsense.
