friends not to let that person know that you like him/her? Did you do this because you were afraid he/she would not feel the same way? Then you would be crushed.

no, i never tell him, and yes, i was afraid to loose the friendship (i usually fall for someone I know).
you can say i was so unlucky when i was youger. I liked someone and he didn't have any feeling for me, instead some guy that I didn't like was crushed on me. I like my own best friend, but he liked someone else, and the worse thing is he share his feeling with me, which is painful enough to give me a broken heart.

Oh no! Not me! If I liked someone, he usually knew because I would let him know. As a P.K., that area of my life was a perk as all the young men respected my Dad and treated me the same. So, no, I was never bashful about letting someone know how I felt.

As for rejection, to me if the guy did not respond, in kind, I always thought it was he who was missing out, not me! LOL I got used to rejection from the mile high nose club (older folks with authority in the church) and this caused me to look at rejection differently...as a preachers kid...it was just a part of our lives!

I was "engaged" for the first time when I was six. I told him that I thought we were too young, and said we would be better off waiting until we were 16. His family moved away when we were 9.

Yes, that was me to a T. I was so shy in school & I had an inferior complex, so I figured the boy wouldn't like me, but he did.

Normally when I did that it was because I know they'd tell them and that's how things worked out. It was very well plotted =D

No. It didn't bother that my friends talked, as we all did. I think at one time or another, we all liked each other (boys to girls, that is).
