I used to love this when I was little!
I've heard it's kind of coming back, but don't know where to start.
I would like to see if I can find one now to exchange handwritten letters and small trinkets. It's kinda cool to wait for something in the mailbox (the one out front, not the yahoo one).
I'm 31 and married, no kids. I live in the southeast US and enjoy fashion, cooking and pets. I'd love to find a similar girl from somewhere else in any country to learn about a different culture and have some laughs.

From what I can tell acting white, according to "black leaders" and rappers means proper speech, proper attire, good grades, good job, love for America, desire to succeed, married with intact family, "can do" attitude, non-victim mentality etc.

should I agree with the Claim that my culture (incidentally my culture is Indian culture) is the best is actualy "Bragging"--Every culture has its own positive(merits) and negative(defects) aspects--one should learn the best from every culture and assimilate it in their culture.As Vedham says "Yat Rochathi Tat Graahyam-Yan Na Rochthi Tat Thaajyam"= the one attribute you like,you assimilate--the one attribute you do not like,you discard.Even in Indian culture many un-desirable practices have been jettisoned by the progressive minded Indian Women-like "Sati"(thanks to sri Rajaram Mohan Rai)--Widow's re-marriage (thanks to Mahatma Phule),child's marriage(thanks to Shaaradha)--sri.Rukmani Arundale, sri.Radha Burnier boldly married Brtishers(whom they loved) against their families' dislike/displeasure.

why is everyother kid on some kind of medication? I have children and work with children. I see the zombie kids that the parents have medicated into submission, they are kids they need to have fun, get wild and learn to be themselves. I know there are real needs, but are parents today trying to make thier children easier to manage with drugs for thier own lifestyle choices?

I am so sick of people disrespecting their own race because of bad experiences. Example, I have had black men tell me that they date white women because they have no drama and they will do "anything"???? Ok first of all, most have people regardless of race have experienced some drama in their life whether it be major or minor. I have dated outside of my race but would never disrespect my own. Most people have been in bad relationships(I say most because the divorce rate is at 50%). I have had bad experiences(relationships) with black men, Latino men and white men and guess what? It was all the same BS that women hate! Lying and cheating! So again, what does race have to do with it? Nothing! A message to white, Latina, Asian and every non-black/African American females: don't ever date anyone who is pretty much with you because of you skin color or hair texture...you get me? Date a man that will respect and love YOU for YOU.

colours in this world are associated with various shades of life... white for peace...black for darkness...etc etc
but for humans.... pink is accepted worldwide as a firlish colour...something which is quite common in cultures.
Why? it is also associated with love like red..but as a romantic one . can anyone explain this ...?

What are some common practices, words, gestures, beliefs, and/or values that are part of at least one culture but are often considered impractical, irrational, misunderstood or offend at least one other culture?

For example, in England a fag is a cigarette, here, it is a mean term for homosexual men.

Thumbs up here in the U.S. is something good, but in Islamic countries, it means "up yours"... can you give me more examples like these? I just cannot think of anything else.

Nicole Brown was a cheater and Goldman was a pathetic little wimp. I admire him because he offed them and he got away with it. Goldman's family are still little weaklings. Ok, my question is why do Europeans claim Spain, Portugal,Greece and Spain as there people? Well it's simple they are all European. The same thing goes for Africans,we claim Egypt because they are our people. The confusing thing is all those Europeans I have mentioned above have Arab/African blood in them, but they are considered European. White anthropologists insist they are white! My question is why are Egyptians not part of Africa to these so called anthropologits? If you ask me it's racism and saying Africans had outside help to achieve what they did. The pyramids are so old there was no known European civilization at the time. I'm Ghanaian we had our own empire I still claim Egypt, I'm from the west is that something wrong? Why aren't Greeks considered African since they have Egyptian, Lybian and Moroccan blood in them?
