I've noticed that a lot of white people (not all) won't refer to AAs as black...they always say "African Americans"
I call "caucasians" white and I rarely refer to them as caucasian. I don't get offended when I am called black but I get uncomfortable when I am having a discussion about race and white people INSIST on saying African American EVERYTIME...some even go as far as correcting themselves when they "slip up" and call us black.

I think it's kinda funny actually...do you guys (those who do this) think that black people will get offended by your use of the word "black"????

I hope I was able to catch your attention with my head title. Anyways, I wanted to ask all of you Asians about your diet. I don't want to stereotype any of you BUT how is it that you guys stay slim/skinny and do not gain weight. I know not all Asians are skinny, but most of you are. I just want to know what is your secret because I know most of you have rice in your everyday meal (and steam/white/fried rice can make you gain weight!) I have noticed that most people who answer questions with really ugly comments have their email address blocked. I feel that if they are brave enough to make nasty statements, they should be brave enough to accept responses. I feel that Yahoo should not give anyone the option of blocking their email address once they join this site because that gives abusers the ok to make ugly and rude statements and laugh because they don't have to listen to responses.

When children come out the womb, they are innocent and pure. Most of what they learn are taught to them by the adults living at home. So please everyone, teach your kids the truth, so they will not grow up to discriminate against people based on skin color or what they see on tv.

Why is it that every commercial has a black male in it nowadays. I thought we were striving towards equality in our society. I'm so sick of seeing the black males being portrayed as the mature, cool, level-headed people while the whites are the ones acting foolish. Where are the hispanic women, asian men, middle eastern women in the commercials>>>???? Ohh yeah we dont have that because we owe so much to black males. My friend said that whites generally have more cancer, and weaker immune systems, but I countered him with diseases that are common within the blk community, such as diabetes, obesity and sickle cell anemia...Please, keep it to whites and black within the States...such as no "what about AIDs in Africa"

I live in the south, in NC, and once again, a white man with a handgun, yelling racial epithets, used his car to chase a black couple in their car. When arrested, the white man had Klan materials in his car. Now a neo-Nazi group is sending flyers to the "whites" in the area, supporting the white man and blaming nonwhites for "whites becoming poorer". You'll never guess the white man's occupation: he's a retired police officer of 23 years. When did this happen? June 8, 2007. I feel so safe, don't you? This is what I live with, I can't pretend racism doesn't exist, like some people.

How active are the Klan and neo-Nazi's near where you live? Why?

We were our favourite Indian Restaurant tonight & there were some Indians eating in there & they were having Poppadums as a 1st course.

I thought that it was just us English who had poppadums like this & that it was actually incorrect to have them like this.

Could someone clarify for me? Or perhaps there's not a correct way?

I'm tired of these hos my neighborhood talking all of this trash about. She was in y drama class last school year and she just started to hate on me since day one becuase the guy she liked wanted to go out with me instead of her. Then she started to gossip about and started to send childish messages on my myspace. I confronted her and told her basically get your name out of my mouth or else i'm gonna have to slap name out of your mouth. She keeps on going at it tellin everyone that i had sex with the entire football team and that i was preganant. None on of these things are true. I know where she lives and lately shes been mouthing off about me and my girls.

I hear a lot of commentary about how Africans/blacks have no history, how they haven't contributed technology or inventions, but I seriously doubt many have even read or tried to research to see if that claim is true.

Reading western textbooks doesn't really apply since we all know who education is controlled by in this country.

I find it hard to believe that any real racists would pick up a book written about black ppl being that they hate us so much.
