I am encoding files right now in our database, and this one is worth sharing. One participants name is actually Swasti Istika. I'm not kidding, she's a female from Indonesia. Are some parents really suck at naming their kids? Do you think she have any idea of what her name sounds like and what it implies?

It's not a kids name, she's already in her late 20's, and i don't think it's a religious/cultural name out there. It doesn't even sound Indonesian. Indonesia's vast majority practices Islam, and the name is not islamic in origin. To be fair with the girl, she didn't picked her name! I don't think she's ignorant/ uneducated, because she works for a bank and holds a key position there. I think her parents are well aware of what Swastika symbolizes, maybe they think the symbol is cool in their own twisted way.
