Gene Kelly never had formal training, neither did Fred Astaire, John Travolta had minimal training, all these men dance very well. All are white. When you lump all people of a race into the same category ie "can't dance" you show yourself to be a racist.

I don't dance because I don't listen to music you would normally dance to, but I've seen white people dance and I can't say other races are any better, and to the people that say white people have no rhythm, what about musicians that takes more of a sense of rhythm than any dancing, especially drummers

most white people can't dance because they weren't brought up to dance. not many white ppl have dancing as part of their culture so they don't really dance as much. and also it depends what type of dancing are you talking about. its mostly black people are known for hip hop dancing and mostly white people are known for jazz or ballet dancing. and latinos do their salsa. everyone has a different thing. color of skin does not prevent anyone from having rhythm.

I think that depends on what you call dance...some of the most wonderful dancers in the world have been white...and they had there pants pulled up when they did it...Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Martha Graham,...who you no doubt crabbed some of your moves from and just didn't know it.

Why cant whites do this why cant blacks do that why cant asian do this why cant native americans to that why cant french people do this..when are you going to learn people are people end of story. Get out of the prodding to fight and get people like you to start racist comments. And I am sure you are white. And you try to get others to say mean things so then you can attack again with another stupid ignorant generalization. How ignorantly backwards .

What's with the "white people have no rhythm" thing? The color of their skin keeps them from dancing good? Come on! There's people from every race who can dance, and there's people from every race who can't dance.

It is not very nice to generalize like that. Until you have seen every white person in this world dance so you can judge them then your question is one of fallacy.

Not all white people can't dance that's just a racial stereotype like saying all black people talk well 'black ' and to me saying that I should talk black is like saying that Black people can't talk in perfect english or that blacks lack the intellegence to speak properly and that highly offends me Especially coming from a black person. So try not to think that way.
Also it would be like saying all black people love fried chicken which is 100% untrue my favorite dish is lasagna and not just black people dance to drums in fact our society was actually more advanced in seemingly premitive Africa as compared to the Europeans who constantly caused them selves problems i.e. Cholera out break solved by John Snow but no one believed him and plenty died because of it . Not trying to offend but.... sortta true not to say we don't cause our own downfalls but you gotta be open minded can't be one sided gotta know people before you judge them as they say "You can't know a man till you've walked in his shoes" Then maybe one day if everyone learns to feel empathy we can truly live int he world's much sought after Utopia. As War has said for decades the infamous question "Why can't we be friends ?"
