I guess I shouldve expected the stereotypical "everyone from African" answer..
The "all out of africa" is just on of many theories..So dont automatically take it as truth

well in reality we all originiated from Africa but i doubt whites will ever embrace or even admit to that. before that happens african americans have to embrace their african ancestry because there are still many that do not. and before that happens the media needs to stop making africa look so bad and show the good parts of africa and the bad.

Africa = many things you consume today.
Africa = the coffee you drink, the chocolate you eat and the jewels you wear.
It's sad to see that the same people who consume products from African land the most are the same people saying they would never claim being from this country. I'm African American and I could care less whether you accept you're genealogy or not. But respect should be given where respect is due. And to describe Africa in such a nasty way, but turn around and drink your coffee and red tea is absolutely heartless. Instead of talking about Africa in such a rude way, get off your *** and help make a difference. Stop taking from this country that is still very beautiful in its own way.
Sorry that my comment was not on topic.

Unfortunately it was quite common for the slaves to be forced by their masters to have sexual relations. Most people are mixed with "something else" somewhere along the line. Nothing wrong with that. I'm caucasian but I had a Spanish ancestor, most Spaniards are caucasian but many are in part descended from the Moors in Northern Africa (who occupied Spain from 711-1492) so I probably have some distant African ancestors. I don't think there's a human alive today who is "pure" anything. That's not bad, though... like I was saying earlier we should embrace diversity.

Well, that article is devoted to discussing whether genetic differences in African Americans are distinct enough to separate sub-populations for the purpose of determining if disease treatments need to be different for different populations. I didn't find whatever you think might have something to do with the percentage distribution of ***** (African) genetics in the American Caucasian population.
While Americans are willing to claim native blood these days as that doesn't have the negative conotations of slavery that African blood has, any person who has a small fraction of non-Caucasian "blood" who claims that this has an effect and requires "embracing" that Ancestry is a fool, just as those people who claim that 1/8 black blood (Octaroon) makes you a ***** and subject to ***** put down laws is an idiot.

Well, you have a good point, but your source is not necessary. You know why? Where does all of human existence come from?
Africa, of African descent. This is a well-known fact throughout the world. I thought you were going to ask why wouldn't they embrace their African ancestry because they know all of mankind originated in Africa.
Great point though. It's sort of embarrassing to be associated with bigots though. You're not a bigot; the ones in denial are.

Go back far enough, and EVERYONE is African.
What's the point, though? Never really saw the appeal of "embracing your ancestry." It's in the past, and where my ancestors lived and died has no real effect on my life now. I'd rather embrace the present and live my life.

Trouble is, You seem to assume all life came from Africa. Study some history outside of the "Politicaly correct" version current school books give and you may find something to think long and hard about.
You have the Internet, Use it. Maybe all isn't what it appears from the programming you have recieved.
