should I agree with the Claim that my culture (incidentally my culture is Indian culture) is the best is actualy "Bragging"--Every culture has its own positive(merits) and negative(defects) aspects--one should learn the best from every culture and assimilate it in their culture.As Vedham says "Yat Rochathi Tat Graahyam-Yan Na Rochthi Tat Thaajyam"= the one attribute you like,you assimilate--the one attribute you do not like,you discard.Even in Indian culture many un-desirable practices have been jettisoned by the progressive minded Indian Women-like "Sati"(thanks to sri Rajaram Mohan Rai)--Widow's re-marriage (thanks to Mahatma Phule),child's marriage(thanks to Shaaradha)--sri.Rukmani Arundale, sri.Radha Burnier boldly married Brtishers(whom they loved) against their families' dislike/displeasure.

You should agree, and I do agree too.
I'm a Filipino yet since we we're conquered by Spaniards, Americans, Japaneses and Chinese & many other nations to mention, we our ancestors happen to adapt these nations culture. in the long run, from generation to generation, their culture becomes part of ours too.
I don't hate what happen to our original culture however what we have absorb from them also helps a lot.
Like you we assimilate what is essential & discard what is not, however not every person can do that, those who think intellectually about this matter does, and those who don't care absorbs both.
from American (hotdogs, burgers, fastfood, liberal way of dressing, coat & tie)
from Chinese (good manners, business minded)
from Spaniards (language, cock fighting, harana [courting])
