Especially Blacks looking down on other Blacks? Light skinned thinks they're better than the dark people, people with straighter hair thinks they're better than the people with coarse hair. Skinny thinks they're better than the fat people, etc. They're no better. We're all people, but different doesn't make you better.

The same arguments that oppose affirmative action (only racists see race, "black" and "hispanic" are not synonyms for poor and uneducated) can be used to oppose racial pro-filling (just replace "poor and uneducated" with "criminals and drug addicts")

Yet why is it that some (especially on the far right) oppose affirmative action strongly, yet say that racial profiling is completely OK?

I am personally against both ( and this is comming from an minority)

I simply follow Stephen Colbert's motto. "I don't see race, people tell me I'm brown, I believe them" (insert any race for this)

What are your feelings towards both these issues, and if you happen to be againse affirmative action but in favour of racial profiling, can you defend those views as not being racist.

I already read a lot of online articles mostly from wikipedia saying that it is a misconception to refer to a typical brown-skinned Filipino as of the "Malay race" but instead, we are of Austronesian descent. I also read that the term "Asian" refers to the people of the continent Asia and not a racial classification, and so is the word Filipino which refers to the nationality of the people of the Philippines and it is not a race in itself as well. So the obvious question is, what race should we classify ourselves on legally binding documents if we are not Asian, Malay or Filipinos?

I've had enough with seeing these "American by birth; Texan by the grace of God" stickers. Many Texans I've met seem to have a superiority complex towards people from other states, thinking of them as being lesser Americans. The truth is that the history of Texas is the most un-American of all: a bunch of Americans moved to Texas, then under the control of Mexico still, and renounced their US citizenship in order to get Mexican citizenship so they could live and work there. They then broke free from Mexico and existed as an independent republic until the US had to come in and annex them cause they couldn't make it on their own. In other words, the Republic of Texas was a nation founded by traitors both to the US and to Mexico, and then they proceeded to seceed from the union less than two decades later. How much more un-American can your history be?

Duck is duck, fish is fish, and chicken is chicken when cooked or alive.

Why didn't we keep it simple by calling cow a cow and a pig a pig when those animals are cooked as well?

Did the terms beef and pork stem from a trend that stuck, or did we always call it beef and pork after the slaughter? And Why?

The act of dropping ones pants and blatantly showing ones buttocks in an exaggeratedly deep bow, in a stance like pointing a cannon to the onlookers.
I have some queries: being such a bold and insolent act, and I should add: daring and demanding good steel twins. How does it fare in the old crime scale?, Is it only youngster's prank?, what are the nuances in between?, Is there a registry?, who started it, w & w?, the most renown case and what has been the worst outcome?. It's all for now folks. Thank you.

2 years ago i was a complete scumbag. me and my friends used to bully goths and nerds. since last year i have turned around completely.
i'm all goth like now.

i hang around with a completely differant gang of people compared to my old friends. last week me and my friends were going to a gig and we saw my old friends by the bus i was going on so i went up and said hi. they went physco and started beating the crap out of me and calling me goth for no reason. they stole my money and my phone.

i think that is a complete twist because after that i thought about how is used to do **** like that. mostly about how much i changed.

did anyone elses life turn arounf like this?

I mean I was born and raised here in the States, so I don't know how to speak Korean. But I understand Korean. When I'm at home, my parents talk in Korean, I answer them in English, which they understand but cannot speak fluently. Except my dad. He speaks both fluent English and Korean, as he is in the police force. He speaks with no Korean accent too!
