You are definitely Hispanic. If your parent's are Mexican, you are of Mexican heritage. Spanish is a language. Hispanic is a culture. Mexicans are Hispanic, but not all Hispanics are Mexican.

You are from where you were born and period, the cat has four legs don't look for the fifth one. Who cares from where our parents came, if you father was form Mexico, it doesn't mean you are a Mexican, stop the madness. That's why there are so many problems in this country. If you were born here, you are American, that's it!

BTW, both my parents and all my ancestors were French, it doesn't make me French, I was born here, I am an American.

Whenever you have someone of mixed heritage, they usually identify as the darker, or more primitive of the races. For example, Halle Berry is half black, half white. However, she says that she is a black woman. If you are half mexican, half white, you will most likely say that you are mexican. I find hispanic qualities to be very different from the native tribal mexican qualities. Absolutely different peoples. Anyway, my point is, even if you have a quarter black or mexican in you, you're black or mexican.

You're Hispanic. Your family is from Mexico, so therefore you're Mexican or Mexican American.

If your family was from Spain, you would be European or European American.

Here's the question: did you descend from Mexicans, or from Spainards?

You have no Spanish heritage. You're of Mexican descent.

You're an American. Race is a social construct, especially when you are talking about "La Raza."

You're hispanic. It doesn't matter. Why would you pick one or the other? I love being two races...Embrace BOTH of your backgrounds.
