I don't mind unless people don't put it right in my face. I wouldn't openly snog my boyfriend in a busy street or around lots of people and wouldn't feel comfortable seeing any type of couple doing the same. With the 'natural' statement, it has been proved that you can't help being gay and it is within certain genes so for some, it is natural.

its not natural for you to have feelings for the same sex...that's cool..one less in our club is fine with us.
thinking its not natural for us to do this is also fine with me...probably not all other homosexuals...but i agree your allowed your own point of view.
i would no more tell a homophobic they are wrong to think the things they do then i would a Buddhist.
Its when you start denying us our rights to be the way we are and with each other that's when you and I would have a problem.
what i find very worrying is the way you've worded your question " comfortable around" i think this could be the start of a big problem for you and the homosexuals you may be around in your life.

Why does it matter whether homosexuality is natural or not?
Personally I regard homosexually as a perversion, but I don't see why that should make me uncomfortable around gay people. The worst that might happen is getting propositioned, and that can be flattering in a way.

I honestly believe your question is homophobic! I am a heterosexual male, I have friends who are gay, and a member of my family is gay, I don't give it a second thought, some people like coffee some like tea, some like both. In other words because people have different preferences doesn't make them unnatural, just different from you!
You do realise that the basis of all bullying is that the victim stands out as different in some way, red hair, glasses, accent,
or are simply cleverer, or better looking than their peers, this draws attention to them, and they are physically and or mentally attacked!
What your belief advocates, amounts to the same thing, that because you see homosexuals as different "unnatural" as you put it, then they should be forced to tow the line and conform, indeed live a complete lie, because it makes people like you feel comfortable!! For goodness sake learn to live and let live!!!

I'd say it's natural for them, but as a heterosexual bloke it's far from natural for me.
Nevertheless I have no problem with homosexuals just so long as they understand that I'm not bent and they need keep to their own side of the fence, so to speak.

Yes, I am comfortable being around them. They tend to be very cultured, intelligent and sociable people. I don't agree with their views on homosexuality. But they tend to respect such honesty and one can still be respectful to them as human beings.

I'm comfortable around them. I have been for a few years now.
I don't share the sexual preference that they do, but I find that it is perfectly fine for them to like what they so wish, and I expect them to respect me as I respect them.
They are human like I am, and a criteria such as sexual preference doesn't determine value anyway. If it did: Everyone would be fighting. :p

I suppose you are entitled to your opinion, but I have worked with a gay chap for 10 years, he is happily settled with a partner, and he causes me no problem whatsoever. However I do have a problem working alongside over opinionated morons.

Sure, I'm comfortable around them. Why not be? The ones I know are hard workers , educated, and fun to be around.
