here's my situation. I got a white homie that is a good homie. but he drops the n word every once in a while. now, I'm not black ... but I'm not white either so this word really don't fly well with me. I've told him over and over to stop using it because it is an offensive word but he insists that his black homies don't mind so I shouldn't. but I do! and I don't know how to explain it to him any more than I already have, that I don't like it when white people or even non-black minorities use that word ESPECIALLY when they were not brought up that way and in that type of environment.

so, how do I tell him without droppin him? and should I even be trippin over it or what?

For so long I only vote for the blacks on Idol. But this time I had to ask myself am i showing favor or being a racist . Which Im not. So I decided to take a stand. I like Blake he went on to be more original and got rid of the whole justin timberlake thing. I have to give myself a reality check is showing favor to my own race being racist or is it supporting.

I have a female classmate who is Korean. Her birthday is tomorrow and I would like to know what customs/traditions are common in Korea for birthdays. I know of a baby's 100th day and the 60th birthday, but what more. I believe she is turning 20.

My boyfriend and I are both light skinned whites. We walked into a convenience store the other night to buy a couple of sodas. I saw a group of black men standing near the door and didn't think anything of it because up to that point I had nothing against black people. I walked out to my car to grab something from my car and as I walked out one of the black guys said (very loudly) " Man...What da hell is up wit all dese crackas in here?" For those who may not know, cracker is an insulting word for a white person. Another of the black men was walking out of the store as I was walking back in and didn't hold the door for me. Don't these blacks have any manners? I thought they were against racism?! I would never have said something like " Man what the hell is up with these *iggers in here?" I am not like that and I did not deserve to be treated this way. These black people need to practice what they preach. I am outraged!!!!

I ask this because on the one hand 'Britain' as a sovereign state is dominated by England and yet the Welsh have a greater claim to descendency from the celtic 'Britons'; the earlier inhabitants of 'Britain' in the geographical sense.

Please help!

1--the govt won't close them down. it is legal
2--why are you afraid of being called racist? don't lots of ppl call the NAACP racist? does that stop them? no. just do it!
3--i wouldn't CARE! it is like my teacher once said to these girls who were always fussing with their makeup "no one is paying attention to you, no one cares"...no one is going to b*tch about it. if anyone does it will be a money hungry media (and they will most likely be white just looking for a green dollar)
4--some ppl say race based groups are wrong, i think different. there are groups for different genders, handicaps, hobbies...i think that race based groups aren't any different from those. it brings together a group of ppl with some form of similarities.

plz just start one/two so i won't have to hear the complaining every week.
just don't try to offend others with the rules. like this one white scholarship that mentioned something about blacks bleaching their skin<<

I am a mixture or races, I am black white and hispanic, I speak three different languages, I can fit in any group because I am caramel skined. Why is it so offensive to say your black? Or to say your whit? or to say your hispanic? You are what you are, I'm alll of those races, And i'm proud! I wouldn't be offended if someone called me black, white, or, hispanic. There are no other words to describe those particular races. PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND WE ARE ALL IN THIS WORLD TOGETHER!

It's sad to think that there's no one in the King family to carry on his legacy. I mean, a man like Martin Luther King, Jr. If there are no grandchildren, I wonder why!?! I know that neither of the girls are married ( Yolanda, God bless her soul) However, I'm not sure of the boys.

Also, I was deeply sadden to hear of Yolanda Kings death. I thought about how she lived through all of the hurt and pains of the civil rights movement. She lived through the bombings and the burning of crosses... she lived through the four little girls being killed at the 16th Baptist Church, she lived through her father going to jail, and being beaten and stabbed. She lived through her fahter being murdered, her mother passing. She lived through things we only read about, are saw on television. I truly believe she grieved herself to death.

Y!A doesn't allow us to remove stalkers...er...'fans'....Why do you suppose that is? I am being stalked by rentongal1958 since I let her know how I felt about her bigotry against Americans in her answer to the question, 'What is an American?'

Y!A doesn't pay attention to our concerns about stalkers who give us thumbs down, report us, have others vote for answers other than ours, etc., etc., etc.....Why?

I just got a violation and lost 11 points for reporting a spammer.
Someone posted a chain letter in response to a question - I reported them and then posted that I had reported them. And I got a violation for this? WTF!
People, please make sure you understand the situation before going for the report button.
