I admire the way they repeat syllables when they write.

I admire their dogged determinism, especially the courage the British people showed during World War II. I also admire that they take problems in stride, with a "stiff upper lip" rather than sit around and whine. Finally, they have a tendency to laugh at themselves at make light of serious things, like Monty Python's style of irreverant humor. Of course, these are just generalizations.
Oh, I almost forgot, thanks for the Beatles!

Sure, lots of things. In fact, I am quite an Anglophile. Just for a few random examples: J. K. Rowling, Lynne Truss, the BBC DVDs I have collected, much great rock and roll from the 60s and 70s, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, William Blake, that lovable accent that makes English men just a little more sexy than everyone else, the environmental awareness of Prince Charles -- oh, way too many things to mention them all.

Yep. I read an awful lot about British history. I'm fascinated by it. Unfortunately, so many historians write about the Royalty as if kings and nobelmen were the only British worth mentioning.

The British Police Force, in particular GMP.
GMP are an outstanding example of Law enforcement with high ethics and moral fibre.

The British are very cultured and steeped in traditions. They even keep the tradition of holding a life-long monarch going, despite that monarch not having very much (if any) political power. It's good for a country to have a figurehead who can be looked up to at all times.

The BeeGee's, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, plus many more singing groups.
The culture, the long history, the monarchy, English gardens, accents and slang, "stiff upper lip," just to name a few.
One entire side of my family came from there, so there's another reason to like the British. That and many friends from "across the pond."

Their stoicism. Pubs. PG Tips. No 7 cosmetics. The Royal Academy of Dance. Clotted cream. Their sense of loyalty to their friends. Their common sense and their ability to deal with the French without punching their noses. ;-D (but NOT marmite.)
