I am a mixture or races, I am black white and hispanic, I speak three different languages, I can fit in any group because I am caramel skined. Why is it so offensive to say your black? Or to say your whit? or to say your hispanic? You are what you are, I'm alll of those races, And i'm proud! I wouldn't be offended if someone called me black, white, or, hispanic. There are no other words to describe those particular races. PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND WE ARE ALL IN THIS WORLD TOGETHER!

Well said, why are so many people so sensitive? Why make a big deal about what someone you don't even know says? Live your life the way you want. It is up to you to be happy, not everyone else.

That's terrific! I would want to say you're mixed as an acknowledgement of both your parents and all your cultures. Also, I like to be accurate. But it's good that you don't take offense when someone who only took a glimpse at you gets it wrong. I know that happens a lot--my best friend is Jamaican, Irish, and Japanese, but is constantly called "black", and a good friend of mine is called "white" even though he's half Native American.

AMEN! I don't understand it either. I'm a white American and I have many bi-racial relatives (including my adorable granddaughter) and I KNOW none of them were born in Africa, let alone visited there. When you start calling people "Asian Americans" or "African-Americans", etc all it does is create more segregation and imply dual citizenship. I am totally against the "politically correct" BS. It's just another form of discrimination.

You need to come up with a clever name like Tiger Woods came up with "Cablinasian" when asked what race he was.
