1--the govt won't close them down. it is legal
2--why are you afraid of being called racist? don't lots of ppl call the NAACP racist? does that stop them? no. just do it!
3--i wouldn't CARE! it is like my teacher once said to these girls who were always fussing with their makeup "no one is paying attention to you, no one cares"...no one is going to b*tch about it. if anyone does it will be a money hungry media (and they will most likely be white just looking for a green dollar)
4--some ppl say race based groups are wrong, i think different. there are groups for different genders, handicaps, hobbies...i think that race based groups aren't any different from those. it brings together a group of ppl with some form of similarities.

plz just start one/two so i won't have to hear the complaining every week.
just don't try to offend others with the rules. like this one white scholarship that mentioned something about blacks bleaching their skin<<

Do white people really have a need for such things? Or would this all be done out of spite? Think about it.

I'm a white male transplant living in the south, and let me tell you, racism is alive and well on ALL sides of that coin. White, black, hispanic, asian, it's crazy down here. One good thing I've noticed though, is even if people in minority groups are quick to judge based on color, many of them will rethink their outlook once they see you aren't racist. It's almost like racism is expected and the norm, a sad state really. That being said, I'm not racist. My wife is not white, my child is only partly white. Color means nothing to me, it's all about attitude. Reading your question, I have to say you DO sound a little racist. Not in a negative, hating way, but labeling anything mainstream as "already white" and that's why minorities want their own TV/clubs/etc. is a racist comment. All things mainstream are meant for everyone regardless of color. And wanting race-specific entertainment and clubs is fine! Don't get me wrong. However, while many of you here wouldn't see a problem with white-specific entertainment, if such a thing were to arise (WET, white hsitory month, etc.), there would be a HUGE outcry from many in minority groups. You know that as well as I do. I see no problem with being proud of your heritage at whatever level, as long as everyone else is allowed the same.

Casandra makes a good point, I don't think minorities are ready for whites to have their own racial groups, if whites make their own racial groups they would be terrorized, but the fact is there are thousands of private racial groups, that's all minorities have done, is force it all underground. Not to mention corporations are also at fault, it's not all minorities fault, AOL is notorious for removing any profile that mentions that they are proud to be white and shutting down white chat rooms. Even when they are not racist. I've been in a lot of those chat rooms, they were pleasant people discussing political or current events but they were treated by AOL as if they were Nazis.

I think that's a huge problem, there is a stereotype that whites can't gather together among themselves without discussing how to hang blacks or some non-sense. Or the "community" sees it as a form of segregation and will do anything to destroy it. These are older generations’ keep in mind, most younger generations are probably more open minded.

"Whites Only" anything is outlawed by Civil Rights legislation. And if there were whites only scholarships, etc, their would be so much litigation and struggle and angry media coverage, would it really be worth the time and effort?
I doubt it.

Mean Girl,

Life will be so much better for you if you just concentrate on being positive and not blaming others for your problems.

Try to get over being mean and be kind.

Non-whites are too racist to allow whites a moments peace if they even acknowledge they are white let alone recognize that they are not ashamed of their race.

Let's face it, how many whites are screaming names at blacks who start a racial based organization? None.

How many blacks are hurling racial slurs at whites when they want to start a racial club at school... I rest my case.
