I live in southern West Virginia, ( no WV jokes please...I've heard them all.....lol), ANYWAY each year we go to a Christmas tree farm thats about 10 miles from us, the owners, who are home sometimes, and sometimes not..have left a .......price list....a saw, ....and a locked box ...for the tree money, all on the front of their barn....we cut down our choice of tree, use the saw, and leave the money in the locked box..... could this happen where you live?...I love this rural area, and its trusting people. Oh and by the way, price of the trees are 15 dollars for long needle, 20 for short....any height...., our tree this year is 7 foot. (short needle)

A large nose in the western world is not attractive but, in Asian countries, it is highly desirable. Big bums in England aren't beautiful but many Africans find them irresistible. The eighteenth century favoured large voluptuous women and the 21st century favours miserable stick-insects ..... so is it a cultural difference only, or is there some universal idea of beauty that all ages and cultures could agree on?

Ok so racism never left society but is it starting to rise again?

It seems most people think it is on the rise again... so what are the causes?

What can we do about it?

I am in love with this girl but later I found out that she just want to be a friend. I am so miserable and my hate turn into anger toward her. I stop talking to her and even spy who is her boyfriend. I can not stop loving her. It was just one side love but why it has to be me only why god??? Everyday, everywhere in my mind is her but it hurts me just to know the truth. Right now, I want to kill myself and jump into the ocean and died peacefully. I can't face her anymore!!

I WANT TO DIE!!!

It seems that the mistrust for muslims that has become apparent due to the actions of "muslim extremist groups" has casused damage to the cultural developments in the west. I have noticed that we seem to be going backwards and racism against non-muslims is also on the rise. Is this trend connected?

Many white people here iin britain seem to be distancing themselves from anyone who is from an different ethnicity. I am noticing people giving dirty looks to me and my wife (who is black, I am white). This didnt happen 2 or 3 years ago.

It troubles me because I can only see this getting worse, it may not be PC and it may not be fair but I am a bit tired of putting up with all this muslim anti-west nonsense. My grandparents and their parents endured two world wars for our liberty. I wonder if it will have been a worthwhile sacrifice in another 25 years only time will tell.

I am extremely interested in human sexuality, especially that concerning deviance from the social sexual norms. I want to ask people online and in-person about fetishes, paraphilias, etc. but I realize these are embaressing and awkward subjects to talk about with a complete stranger.

I would like to know if the phrasing of the question is important. Is casual better than proffessional?

Would a stranger asking you questions from the get-go be too forthright?

How would you like to be approached?

I have gotten different responses of the sort. Many have given they're opinions about stereotypes but didn't answer the question, "Do you think this stereotype can be undone?" Many people criticize me of what I seem to say not what I say. I know it's a stereotype and yes, I do stereotype people and you guys do to. Just think about how you act in front of different age, race, looks, gender. I have also gotten responses where people say stereotypes are not necessarily true. I know that stereotypes are not always true which is why they are called stereotypes (assumptions over general things, in this case, race.). And for those of you people who say you are kinda "gangsta", I've got news. you aren't gangsta whenyou say "dogg" "homie" ditch a few classes, smoke some cigarettes, steal, don't get good grades when your asian or caucasian. But it's ok of not knowing this because I thought I was ghetto, too. Please answer my question assuming I have thought years about this (which I did).

The reason I ask is that the liberals have been preaching about celebrating the diversity in our country for decades, but now they want to cover up diversity and enforce conformity by saying that we should all say "Happy Holidays". If we really want to celebrate diversity shouldn't we say Merry Christmas or Happy Hannakah or Happy Ramadan, Happy Kwanza, Happy Solstus, whichever fits us? I am not offended when I say Merry Christmas and my friend says Happy Hannakah or Happy Ramadan or something of the like back. Liberals, THIS is what REAL diversity is about. What I am offended by is when someone tells me what I should or shouldn't say according to standards they have imposed on me.

Asians these days have the reputation of being innocent (well maybe not innocent) smart people who become rich. Well they have the reputation because they made themselves that way through parents, etc. However, African-Americans (and/or Latinos) have the exactly opposite reputation (drugs, poor, gang-related, etc.). One would be more cautious around an African American than an Asian (be honest with yourself). But my question is, do you think that this reputation can ever be undone? The same for latinos also. This question is completely sincere and asked this through my own curiosity, not racism. I would like helpful opinions, not racial slurs. Thanks.
