I feel that the purpose of any Government is to serve its people's views, and implement the peoples ideas, which makes for a better country... Its almost like saying 'The ideas of the staff is the management'.

I have a feeling the Iranian people aren't up for a war with The West, but the government seem to be acting as a cataylst for an air strike...

Now that Iran has rejected its sanctions, what do you think is the right answer to this avoidable situation? Its not the people that are the problem, its the people in charge...

I have been attending AA meetings for about a year now. Several times I’ve heard "If you put anything into your body that effects you from the neck up, you're not considered sober." I'm assuming they're talking about cross addictions like taking pills, smoking crack, etc. but then those same people will run out after the meeting and light up a cigarette.

I am not a smoker and never have been, but I know nicotine effects people otherwise it wouldn’t be so addictive. If so, wouldn't this be a hypocritical statement that they’ve made?

Why the people are very casual n dont mean what they write on internet. Sometimes their questions r very intelligent but when u answer them they dont even remember their questions. What the **** is wrong with people in this world? violence, bigotry, hatred, child abuse and neglect and porn, homophobia. change will not come. two world wars proved that. 9-11, horrible event after horrible event and what have peoplke learned? Blogs and youtube have given the power of media to the masses. People can now portray their feelings and happenings to everyone else on Earth. This has created a globalization of culture and an increased understanding beyond the news put forth by the general media (CNN, FOX, etc...remmember them?)

I have suggested before that this may cause a fifth 'great awakening'...renesaunce..not only religiously (maybe taking the form of a more balanced and understanding cultural religion), but scientific advances (due to increased information exchagne), cultural changes, emotional prescept re-thinking and new social perspectives.

This is what I meant by 'great awakening' --

The USA nowadays I think has very unbalanced and weird ways of coping with social standards. I think things like liberalism, uptightness (political correctness) is an unbalanced and naive way of dealing with social changes, for example. Same with feminism.

Maybe we will reach a more balanced reaction toward these

As Santa does not usually give poorer kids good presents, or for that matter, any presents at Christmas, isn't wealth a major determing factor with regards to how naughty or nice a child is deemd to be?

ie: Rich girl gets a pony = great girl.
Ordinary middle'ish class girl gets My Little Pony = quite good, etc...
