The reason I ask is that the liberals have been preaching about celebrating the diversity in our country for decades, but now they want to cover up diversity and enforce conformity by saying that we should all say "Happy Holidays". If we really want to celebrate diversity shouldn't we say Merry Christmas or Happy Hannakah or Happy Ramadan, Happy Kwanza, Happy Solstus, whichever fits us? I am not offended when I say Merry Christmas and my friend says Happy Hannakah or Happy Ramadan or something of the like back. Liberals, THIS is what REAL diversity is about. What I am offended by is when someone tells me what I should or shouldn't say according to standards they have imposed on me.

Diversity creates differences without unity. I always wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and one year when I wished my aunt's coworker (who was ½ Jewish) a "Merry Christmas" the only person that was offended was a liberal that had an office nearby. They like to believe in things that look good on paper but can't work in real life; you have to take everything they say with a grain of salt. (Or, as in most cases, the entire shaker.)

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

I'm a progressive, liberal and I say Merry christmas and most of my Christian progressive liberal friends do too.

Please don;t put all people in a box. I know a lot of non-religious conservatives or non-christians conservative who do not say Merry Christmas as well as those who do.

Too much Fox News can really make you think a lot of things about good liberal people that just aren't true.

Wow, you have a really good point. I don't see why you are attacking a group of people though, maybe you should diversify your question to include conservatives too.

i'm "liberal" and i don't think that happy holidays should be said instead of anything else.

UNLESS its being said by something government-affiliated or in schools... whatever.
