If you are receiving disability from the state of Michigan, but want assistance starting your own buisness, are there any programs you know of that will assist someone with this goal?

Even if you consider yourself not to be racist, do you notice interracial couples more than you notice couples whose skin color is closer to the same shade? Why do you think this is or isn't?

I'm not trying to be down on anybody, though I know there are outright racists on this site all the time. I'm just curious about what still strikes people as different or odd, even when they're trying to be open-minded...

Why is it okay for a black person to call another black person the n-word but if a white person uses the word, they are racist?

Govt rejects funding breast cancer drug
A drug for women with advanced breast cancer has been rejected for a government subsidy, prompting calls to have it added to a specialist funding scheme.

Tykerb was approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in August but has since been turned down twice for a subsidy under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).

The expensive drug is designed for women with the extremely fast-moving HER2-positive form of breast cancer who have failed on the blockbuster drug Herceptin.

The pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) currently subsidises the $45,000 treatment under an access scheme with the hope it would win a PBS subsidy.

But a government advisory committee last week refused to reimburse Tykerb for reasons that are not yet clear.

Remember when we were young & made fun of everyone? Yes we got punished for it, yet we still did it. Wasn't it fun to get the old people mad at us? I had one neighbor who chased me with a water hose when I came near his rose garden. I learned how to dodge his water attacks. Now, SOME of you have to remember how much fun it was. I looked back in a history book of America and it looked great the music was happy and pratically everyone was happy. Now today its full of bad themed music and obesesity is rampant on children who are to lazy to walk and must skate there way into class and use those heely shoes in gym instead of running. The music is bad and has drugs and nasty things in it. Back then the music was all about happiness and love. Did America change that much?

Can't we just accept it for what it is? We're gay... and that's it. Must we have an explanation why? And, even if there was a, for example, genetic explanation, it isn't going to change anything. The answer will be there, but there will be still be homophobes and bigots...

my mom is a catholic Hispanic woman that doesn't view homosexuality or bisexuality seriously. She sees bisexuality as popular trend that everyones adopting. I also feel bad because im an only child and i dont want my mother to never know what it feels like to be grandmother. I dont know what to do!?!?!

so many families are a mess without it? I'm not out to "get" familes, heck, I come from one and last time I looked I'm still in one. How can they profess to love America but have a problem with some law abiding, contributing Americans yet want to represent us all? To me it seems convoluted.

how can 10% of the population be lesbian, gay or bisexual? do you know how many LGBTs i meet 'coincidentally' on a regular basis? i meet equal amount of LGBTs as i do straights and those are the ones who are out!

find it hard to admit that they are bisexual and are attracted to guys? is there more of a stigma about homosexuality amounst men?
i have quite a few bisexual male friends and they really struggle with saying that they are bisexual so i don't put pressure on them and just let them know that i am there to talk. any bisexual men felt this way?
