I'm not trying to become Goth, so don't tell me to wear dark clothes and dark makeup. I'm not trying to attract a boy either (although that would be a nice bonus)

I habge a friend who says that all the time. The first time I heard him say it was about 3 months ago when he was talking about getting his car fixed by the weekend and then he's like f*cking A man. Is that a slang phrase or just something weird people say.

I was wondering this today. Do you ever wonder if wow, what if the small group of jewish people 2000 years ago were wrong and rejected the real Mesiah God had sent to us. I mean the people had already been waiting a long time for his coming, and now it has been 2000 more years and he hasnt arrived yet??? Wouldnt that worry you a little? I am not Jewish but I am just wondering what my mind set would be if I was. I think I would prabobly be a little worried that maybe we did reject the real one.

Hi my nan was recently run over and has broken her pelvis. She will be released from hospital and will stay with us until she has fully recovered. Unfortunately we can't give up our jobs so was looking to employ some home help during the days while we are at work. Does anybody have a rough estimate of the costs per week to pay a carer. We live in london so would be helpful to get answers from those of you who live in England. Thanks for your time. Would just be a 9-5 carer

This is "my drop in the ocean" - Please vote on the war in Iraq.?
Back in 1985, while in Ethiopia during the famine, I was invited by Mother Teresa to work with her. While talking I said to her I thought as if my input was but a "drop in the ocean". Her reply was - "remember the ocean is made up of drops".

As one individual who is appalled by the military occupation of Iraq I again feel helpless. So my response is to voice my opinion as just another drop in the ocean....and ask that others join me - we may finally make up an ocean.

Just reply with a simple message if you too want to be a "drop in the ocean".

I'm a pretty good artist. I draw a lot of portraits and have painted several murals. For Christmas, I drew one of my relatives a portrait of her two kids as a gift. In addition to the drawing I bought a gift. She thanked me for the store-bought gift but not the drawing that I put a lot of time and effort into. The rest of my family complimented the drawing and said that it looked just like the kids. However, I'm not offended if she didn't like it. In fact, I'd be more than willing to take it back and work on it more until she was happy with it. However, it really irks me that she couldn't even thank me for the effort. Am I in the wrong? What would you do?

What sort of readings or traditions would be important for a Muslim and a Christian getting married. I'm familiar with the Christian tradition, but not the Muslim. I think traditions vary culture by culture, but I'm wondering if it would be important to have certain readings from the Quran, and a Muslim cleric there? Anyone every been to or experienced a Muslim and Christian getting married and how did they do it?

Leviticus 21:16-23

The LORD said to Moses, "Say to Aaron: 'For the generations to come none of your descendants who has a defect may come near to offer the food of his God. No man who has any defect may come near: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed; no man with a crippled foot or hand, or who is hunchbacked or dwarfed, or who has any eye defect, or who has festering or running sores or damaged testicles. No descendant of Aaron the priest who has any defect is to come near to present the offerings made to the LORD by fire. He has a defect; he must not come near to offer the food of his God. He may eat the most holy food of his God, as well as the holy food; yet because of his defect, he must not go near the curtain or approach the altar, and so desecrate my sanctuary. I am the LORD, who makes them holy.

Such love is hard to find I proclaim.

I was reading through some Web sites about Wicca---not because I was interested in converting, but because I was just curious about what all the various beliefs were---and several of the sites said that many practicioners choose to keep low profiles for fear of persecution. They refered to this as "staying in the broom closet."

So, do Wiccans and other Pagans really take a lot of flack for their religions? Have YOU ever bullied someone for being a Wiccan or Pagan? If so, how did it make you feel? Did it make you feel better about yourself?

First I'm Jewish but listened to a Christmas Program on TV about Jesus' Crusification. It did a dramatization of the New Testament where the "high priest" was advocating for Jesus' demise where the Roman ruler, Cesear Augustus wanted to free him.

This can't be accurate for several reasons. The high priest (Cohen Godol) would be a man of the highest purity in order to be able to enter the holy of holies (the inner sanctum where the Ark of the Covenent was kept). Such a man would NEVER advocate for the death of a fellow Jew before a Roman Emperor, no matter how eccentric he was. What the New Testament says is that this man did Evil Speech (Lashon Hara) of the worst kind. He would lose his place in the world to come no matter how lofty his position. Such a sin would cause his instant death the next time he approched G-d's holy ark. In Judaism to perform such an evil act would allow for no redemption and he would simply die with his reward "oblivion".

here is where the gospel of Paul is different than the words of jesus! did paul speek the truth or did he speak only his opinion about the necessity for baptism in order to be saved. if you read pauls' words about baptism it is just a symbolic act. But jesus own words say that a man must be born again by WATER and spirit. and then he says the way is straight and narrow. Water has reference to baptism, and jesus said to john the baptist that all the works of righteousness must be fulfilled.
but the term STRAIGHT and narrow has some reference to baptism as well, because the baptism of some people were done by walking down the steps that were straight and narrow.
Can anyone defend the lack of baptism to become born again, if water has a reference to being born again?

heresay "any statement, other than one made by a person while giving oral evidence in the proceedings, as evidence of any fact or opinion stated" in other words everything in the bible because nothing in it is written by god himself, everything is written by men who claim god told them to do it... therefore statements other than the original one who supposedly made it... if a court won't accept heresay as evidence why do so many god followers accept heresay as evidence?
