- Companies do holiday Adopt-A-Family for people With children. Yet a childless person isn't able to be adopted and may want gifts for Xmas also and can't afford them. Those parents need to teach their children that their are hard knocks in life rather than whining about not receiving presents at xmas.

-Habitat for Humanity only builds for families. Yet there are many childless working people who can't find affordable housing or afford a house.

-Children can also receive medical benefits from the government if their parents don't make enough, yet in most states childless people are not able to apply for medical benefits.

-My stupid company actually gave a children's party for employees with children under 12. And the children received a better gift than the adults who work for the company.

Oh, one family adopted for Xmas asked for the gifts to be held because they are taking a two-week vacation.

It's no fair to responsible adults.

It does not matter what religion you are, or even if you are an atheist.
Let us suppose you are confronted by God (Do not answer there is no God)
You are asked “What have you done with your life? Have you taken more than you have given, are you content, with the things you have don? Would you change your existence?”

Non-Pagans tend to view their purpose as being here to "Serve God". So, thinking along those lines, What is the purpose of life as a Pagan?

I know from MY perspective that we are here to LEARN, gain experience and progress in our spiritual development. Learn our lesson for this lifetime, die, rest a while, search for new things to learn, plan for the next lifetime, search for the conditions that will best enable us to achieve those experiences and be reborn.

I've been a Christian for as long as I can remember. However, since entering college, I have struggled with my beliefs. I've never stopped believing God and Christ exists however.

Yesterday, I was studying for my American Politics final. I accidentally fell asleep. Before I knew it, the final was only 40 minutes away. Usually, I sleep longer than that; I could've easily overslept. But I think something woke me up in the nick of time. If I had not woken up, I would've never forgiven myself.

I prayed to him before my final exam for the first time in a long time. I said, "Please forgive my sins. Bring out the knowledge in me for this test. I know I don't deserve to ask you for this. In turn, help me come more into your grace, learn more about you and serve you better."

It seems to have worked. I think I did well on my exam. Thoughts?

What would you wish of evolution right now?

What would benefit us?

3 or 4 sets of teeth instead of 2 (because of all the sugary sweet goodness in the world)?, born without an appendix? Stronger lungs? Humans with gills (lol)???

what else?

Atheists are repeating that Christmas is a stolen from a pagan "Winter Holiday"; the celebration of Christmas on December 25 began in the 7th century, and certainly is much more celebrated worldwide than the ol' Winter Solstice.
Do you know anyone who was around then so that they can hang on to this?... or could it be it is just a thinly-veiled anti-Christmas agenda?
For those who pride themselves on being "modern" and "free thinking" it kind of defies a bit of common sense, and you know, the reality of what Christmas is.
Thoughts?

I'm vague with "quibus", and "tantum" and "tantam". Please give me the right concept.

My translation.
(By what word can he [Christ] describe
and by what knowledge can he obtain
the gift he [Christ] is intended to give at the last moment,
when he [Christ] gives to each one the gift proper to the church's instruction as an encouragement for the journey, from his Spirit in order that we may do what he [Christ] shows to be done not with murmurring, but with joy !
From his Spirit we will get the trusting heart to his life and his love which we haven't seen yet.)

...The difference between and Esbat and a Sabbat? What IS YOUR Wheel of the year and what are the significances of each of these days? What is the significance of a Full moon and a New Moon Esbat?

I realize that this appears to be directed mostly to Witches, BUT, Pagans DO have special days and times of the year that they hold in reverence, at least Religious Pagans, and the Non-Pagans would like to know a lot about our Religious "Holy" days (Sacred days or times).

It seems like the most common responses to this argument are (a) we can observe the emotion exists on brain scans or (b) we can witness the effects of love on a person's actions.

If these are proof of the existence of love, then it would seem the same proof is available for God via the "God Module" in the brain as well as various behavioral changes.

Are these occurrences proof of love and God, or is there a more appropriate answer to the question/analogy?

And to all of you that say NO and are white, are you the same ones saying that OPRAH is racist for endorsing OBAMA?

If so, YOU ARE HYPOCRITES! I guess it's only ok to help whites but whenever blacks try to help one another it is racist? Well to me THAT belief sounds RACIST.

A nujmber of my Christian Friends ask me this often enough to warrant asking this of the REAT of the Pagans out there. I'm sure that this question would be at the top of many non-pagan's list of questions to ask us. I KNOW we ALL have different concepts on this so, as many diferent answers would be VERY helpful to the Non-Pagans out there.

i mean c'mon. that's got to be a personality trait that is a common denominator of all the people that report abuse on the most petty of issues. these are the type of personalities that won't move out of the passing lane on a highway, just becasue they want YOU to drive how they feel is "safe."
