i mean c'mon. that's got to be a personality trait that is a common denominator of all the people that report abuse on the most petty of issues. these are the type of personalities that won't move out of the passing lane on a highway, just becasue they want YOU to drive how they feel is "safe."

A lot of people just cant handle the truth. To report somebody for abuse, or block them just because you don't like their opinion is ridiculous. This is an open forum for answers. If you dont like the answer, don't vote for it.

That depends on what sort of abuse they're reporting and whether it's actual abuse or not.
I have bumped into illegal content on Y!A and I reported it. Am I a control freak for reporting people who encourage molesting children or murdering masses of certain groups they dislike? No, I call that being a responsible citizen.
I don't bother with the petty stuff. If someone says something rude, that's just their bad personality shining through. I won't grant them the attention they're so desperately searching for. I just ignore their questions.

Why are you so obsessed with this subject? It's not like they can hurt you. Maybe they are control freaks, but it doesn't matter...because that is the only thing they can control, and they can't to that very well. Get over it.
