to hide behind anonymity makes it too easy for judgemental do-gooders to abuse the "report abuse" button.

Their religius beliefs are no more proven or important than any other. Why do Christians think it is their right to point fingers at other religions and proclaim that they are the bad guys?

ok so at the moment I dont know whats up, in the past 6 months I have had 4 bags stolen, the last time being in a yoga centre (triyoga) in london (it was my gift to myself to go to a class as I am very poor/in debt as I work minimum wage) and my clothes were stolen. (nice) had a 2 hour journey back home at 10pm(freezing minus 2 degrees temperature) and also waited 45 mins for my delayed bus to arrive.

I dont know whats going on, I had just finished work, I try to be the best person I can, I dont steal, I dont say nasty things to people, I try to be a good person but over the past year (not just the 4 seprate bag incidents) I have been shatted on and screwed over with luck, like I arrive at the bus stop and whatever time I arrive, I have jsut missed the bus/tube/dlr train and have to wait 10 mins or an hour for the next one ...I could go on...
I am trying my hardest to grasp every opportunity but its all going pear shaped, I am just wondering, does karma actually exist?

Its all a scam, I say no one should buy anymore Christmas presents and we should become a more religious society without beliefs based on Materialism

I've been reading a lot recently about the gnostic gospels - ie the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Judas etc, and I was wondering if anyone knew whether the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has any kind of stance on the legitimacy or doctrinal accuracy of these texts? The same question I suppose applies to the Dead Sea Scrolls and other recently discovered ancient apocryphal manuscripts...

I'd like links to sources for any responses.

They both think they are above the law. They both kill with no remorse. They both think they are acting in God's will.

Can we persuade God? Listen:

The Isrelites danced around a golden calf at the base of Mount Sinai, the mountain upon which Moses, at that moment, was receiving the Ten Commandments. When God told Moses that their acts of idoltry warrented their destruction, Moses argued with God: if God destroyed Isreal, the Egyptians would say God only took the Isrealites out of Egypt to slay them in the desert. This would be counterproductive to the image of a beneficent Creator of the universe. God agreed and retracted the plan of national destruction (Ex. 32:14)

So, can we persuade God?

... to post earnest but heavily biased web sites that tell us "what we need to know" ...

... to (presumably) be so confident in your mandate from above to judge the state of 1 billion individual souls that you assert "Catholics aren't saved" and consider us a mission field ...

... why do you impose man-made limitations on the Holy Spirit?

What happened to the individual, personal nature of conviction and conversion -- which is His work -- that you insist must occur for one to be Christian? Regardless of your opinion of Catholic doctrine and practice, isn't it presumptuous to say that He does not work *within* Catholicism's structure just because you reject it?

Isn't it arrogant to dismiss an entire milennium and a half of His grace among us -- counting as valid only that which is evident outside the Church since the reformation?

Are you grieving the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:29-31) with your malice toward the Church -- and therefore all those in communion?

This question is important so I need realistic answers.

If someone were going to donate something to you or an organization for a good cause what would you want it to be?

The gift or donation that is being given has to be universal.

It has to be something that everyone in the world can benefit from, not that it is being given to everyone, but it has to be something of the sort.

We have so many charities, donations and volunteer organizations in the USA, what are we missing?

An incident occurred in a supermarket recently, when the following was witnessed: A Muslim woman dressed in a Burkha (A black gown & face mask) was standing with her shopping in a queue at the checkout. When it was her turn to be served, and as she reached the cashier, she made a loud remark about the English Flag lapel pin, which the female cashier was wearing on her blouse. The cashier reached up and touched the pin and said, 'Yes, I always wear it proudly. My son serves abroad with the forces and I wear it for him'. The Muslim woman then asked the cashier when she was going to stop bombing and killing her countrymen, explaining that she was Iraqi. At that point, a Gentleman standing in the queue stepped forward, and interrupted with a calm and gentle voice, and said to the Iraqi woman: 'Excuse me, but hundreds of thousands of men and women, just like this ladies son have fought and sacrificed their lives so that people just like YOU can stand here, in England, which is MY country and allow you to blatantly accuse an innocent check-out cashier of bombing YOUR countrymen'.'It is my belief that if you were allowed to be as outspoken as that in Iraq, which you claim to be YOUR country, then we wouldn't need to be fighting there today'.'However - now that you have learned how to speak out and criticise the English people who have afforded you the protection of MY country, I will gladly pay the cost of a ticket to help you pay your way back to Iraq '.'When you get there, and if you manage to survive for being as outspoken as what you are here in England, then you should be able to help straighten out the mess which YOUR Iraqi countrymen have got you into in the first place, which appears to be the reason that you have come to MY country to avoid.'Apparently the queue cheered and applauded
