This probably wont mean much to you, but maybe it will. I smoked weed almost daily for about 11 years. I loved it, it was more than just the act of doing it, it was almost like a different culture with other smokers. Anyway, I began to feel that there was more to life then just blazing up whenever I could. I found myself drawn to a bible, I dont even know where I got it. I started reading through it, just flipping around randomly, for sometime and then I decided I should probably start at the beginning. It only took the first 4 words to change my life forever. I'm not saying it will do the same for you, I had actually read those words before as a kid, and heard them probably several times, but this time, they came alive in me. I knew for the first time that God was real, and that the bible was true.
To get back to your question, God freed me of my addiction, and many others that I had. I have studied the bible alot, and if you are looking for some justification in there for you to be able to smoke pot, its not there. For one its illegal, and the bible tells Christians to obey the laws of the land.
God Bless and Merry Christmas!

The plants spoken of in Genesis 1:11 are plants that are used for food. Weeds did not yet exist.
Genesis 3:18 is where weeds were introduced as a curse.

11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so.
What the heck are you talking about?
I don't see ANYTHING here about smoking pot?

That is ridiculous. The bible is speaking of seed time and harvest. Not about smoking weed. In the beginning, everything was pure...before the curse. There were no "weeds" at all. Only after the curse came thorns and thistles and "weeds".

If you have a reference Bible it says a tender green grass in the margin of your Bible and also Hebrews 6:7 - For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes often upon it, and brings forth herbs meeting their needs by who it is dressed, receives blessings from God.
It is the ground that yields the fruit and vegetation we need to eat and live, not what we want and disfigure to be a delight God made for abuse by humans. We are twisted and bent on self fulfillment and enjoyment and we miss the whole of what God is directing us to do!
1 Corinthians 7:31 - And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion (way) of the world passes away.
Go up farther in the scripture (1Cor. 7:23, 24) - Ye are bought with a price; be ye not the servants of men. Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

Well, its easy to ask yourself "Does smoking weed help to glorify God?"
I don't believe the answer is universally no, but I don think so most of the time.

11 And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit-trees bearing fruit after their kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after their kind: and God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:11-12 (ASV)
I think because herb is a slang for pot, does not mean the bible is speaking of smoking it.

There is no prohibition in the bible against drugs or alcohol, but against becoming drunk (high, too, I guess).
If you can do pot in moderation (and not get arrested), I say go for it. But you will probably wake up 5 years from now on your couch, surrounded by Doritos bags, and wondering where your life has gone.

GOD Created EveryThing.
For a Reason.
But, the Earth got messed up (Thorns on Roses, etc.) so, Ask GOD yourSelf, HE Talks!
I have wondered about these things too, but haven't asked HIM yet.
