Im a tad bit homophobic and during winter break I am going to Hawaii with my family to visit my step-mothers mom and life partner. I feel uncomfortable around gays and lesbians. I know Im going to act weird and the lesbians will be able to tell. How should I act infront of the lesbians?

Sunday's Spaghetti feed/Christmas party, and I can't seem to find the church hymnal. Any ideas you have for music would be appreciated. While music must be directed toward the Noodly One, it does not need to have a Christmas theme. As we partake of the bread and the wine etc we do like to hear a joyful noise over the slurping, so try to include happy hymns among the more deeply saucological.

Today where I work, everytime I turned around or looked up this guy was at staring me. I'm so used to being stared or gawked at I really never pay much attention. Finally he came up to me and told me the same line as I have been told hundreds of times by people in the industry I work in. He offered a proposal to me and gave me 24 hours to decide. It's something I have always refused to ever do. I know if any of you were offered what I have been. You would be totally blown away by the proposal offered to me. People would say take it, only I know it's a total life changing decission.

"Child abuse" this and that... what about the tens of thousands of people (MANY CHILDREN) that die every single day in the world due to needless causes? Truth is, you only care about people in YOUR society, people who YOU relate to, those dying children are worthles to you, you'd rather make a big fuss about this "child abuse". It's not the worst darn thing in the world, if i could choose between growing up watching my parents fade away, my siblings starve to death and than die myself or to be molestered, I'd choose the molestation in a heartbeat.

About 6000 children alone die everyday in the world due to lack of clean water and sanitation. Why don't you go ranting on about that?

If your a Christian, do you consider Tattoos a sin? Also, if you do, do you "point" out this "sin" to the person?This question is based on another post the other day who disagreed with my stance.. Lev 19:28 says "do not put tattoos on your body" But Lev 19:20-27 also say that you shouldnt cut your hair or trim your beard so are those sins too, right?
id like to hear your thoughts.

i think that by being on yahoo answers one is prepared to ask and answer other people's questions. now, that is what i have been doing in the most respectful and TRUTHFUL way but my answers has recently been deleted just because the answer does not appeal to you, do you think is right to delete it? are we looking for people's agreement or for people's opinions? what do you guys think?

I am Buddhist and as part of my practise at home I light incense sticks. At the moment I am using some ones I got free from a Buddhist website I ordered two malas from. However, when I light them all I can smell is smoke. The same goes for any other incense sticks I use. I have tried using only matches, blowing them out after lighting them, etc but I can only smell smoke, non of the Jasmine, Patchouli,etc. Would incense cones be better! Please help!

ok so i've come to an understanding that memebers of the lds read an extended version of the bible, it's the same book, but feel that the "other" bible was incomplete.

I have been a member of the chrch my entire life and have lived in Utah for most of it. One thing I noticed is that only in Utah is it that girls that are over 25 and not married are looked down on. In utah you are suppose to be married by 18 or 19 i guess. Why is this? I think it is very wrong to have people think this way. I am going to be divorced soon and will be back in the dating markent and I am 26. When i loved in NY being unmarried at 26 or older was common. Why is it that way in Utah? Please no rude coments about The LDS religion.

I took Cosmetology in High School and was rather good at it. I never took the state exam, because I decide to become a sailor instead. I couldn't stand all the women back biting and talking bad about each other, so I choose a way out.

I talk about not putting Jesus on the cross and learning to walk holy before God and righteous enough to not need a sacrafice to get into heaven.

He is god over us Christians, and we need someone we love to die for us, to make it into heaven. He is so evil, so wicked. SO POWERFUL. I must sin, and give Jesus his duty. We are weak feeble creatures, oh how Lucifer is mighty over us. We will walk always in sin, but the one who is mighter then this mighty being will save us....CRUSIFY HIM, CRUSIFY HIM...as the christans shout, saying he will rise in 3 days anyway like he said....and he lives oh how our love has saved us, to nail himself on the cross for our sins. OH MIGHTY LUCIFER FOR I AM always a slave of yours as the Christians shout.
