Sure. I love my gay sister to pieces. I think she's wonderful. I'm a Christian and I try my best to show the love and grace God gives me to others.

You are a great Christian. The Christian message is the golden rule, love thy neighbor as thy self (Jesus gave this last commandment at the Last Supper). The truly Christian attitude is to love, not in spite of peoples faults but because of them. Not saying being gay is a fault, but Christians who run around trying to change the world to what they think is right ignore the bigger implications that has upon themselves. It means they have judged every they want changed to be wrong, and it is not our place to judge. They have stepped past changing themselves into better people into being hypocrites and when they look back on their life, can they really say they loved their neighbor, did not throw stones, or really acted as Jesus did?

Absolutely. I know many Christians who are homophobic, and try to do stuff like pass anti-gay laws. IMHO, if they were genuinely concerned about the souls of gay people, they would be out there developing friendships with them. After all, you can't really witness to them if you are their enemy.
Jesus hung out with tax collectors and prostitutes - he hung out with the sinners! He did not judge them (though really he had every right to), neither should we.
You don't want to be pushy, but when the opportunity presents itself, you should not shy away from talking about the bibilical perspective on homosexuality (i.e. that it is a sin). Don't beat them over the head with it, but don't skip those parts of the bible either.
Gays don't bother me, and I don't judge them. A close friend of mine from college is gay, so is an aunt. I don't force my views upon them, and I don't expect them to practice my religion (another mistake Christians make). But if the topic comes up, if they ask me what I think, I'll tell them my views.

Not only are you still a good Christian, you're a better Christian than many who wrongfully judge people based on sexual preference.

of course! I have a few gay friends and co-workers. Like all people some of them are nice and some of them are jerks. Nothing to do with your personal beliefs.
I also like some atheist, muslims, buddhist and mormons. Does that make me a bad Christian? I don't think so.

I think that is what God would want from you. It's not your job to judge, just because the church has done such a good job of judging and alienating Homosexuals. I think God would be happy that you are not acting hypocritical. Think of how Jesus' ministry was. He hung out with people that the righteous religious thought they were too good for 'sinners.'
Good for you!!

Beeing a good christian is excepting others for who they are without judjing or pushing them away.
Jesus himself spent time with many sinners such as Prostitutes and Peter was a dept collector was he not? I'm certanly not implying that gays are sinners, but what I am saying is that you can hang around with them, be kind to them or anyone else and not fear for you imortal soul!!!
Hope that helped!!! bye
