Do you accept the Seventh-day Adventist interpretation which views it as the Seventh-day Sabbath?

The view held by Seventh-day Sabbathkeeping churches, including Seventh-day Adventists, maintains that the Lord's day of Revelation 1:10 designates the seventh-day Sabbath. This conclusion is based on the fact that Christ declared himself to be "Lord even of the Sabbath"(Mark 2:28).

Historically, Seventh-day Adventists have interpreted the "Lord's day" of Revelation 1:10 as a reference to the Seventh-day Sabbath which is Saturday and not Sunday. Sunday is the first day of the week.

The Lord's day is the Seventh-day, the Sabbath of Creation. The Sabbath was observed by Jesus Christ. The Sabbath was as sacredly observed by John on Patmos as when he was preaching to the people in the towns and cities of Judea.

Sunday observance did not begin until A.D. 117-138), under Emperor Hadrian. The Sabbath is the Lord's Day. The Sabbath was all John knew when he wrote Revelation.

For all you atheists i don't understand. how can you live life thinking there is nothing to look forward to? that there is no hope for after this life ends. this puzzles me to no end. i know that it would be impossilbe to not believe in a god who loves us. and how do you not believe in anything, that in and of itself is a belief.

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is a serious issue in the church today.

1. People need to hear God in their lives.

2. People need to learn how to communicate with God.

3. People need to learn to discern God's voice from another voice.

Telling people to"open their bibles and read" is not showing them how to walk with God.

Rev 3:20 Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.

I am going to be disfellowshipped this Thursday and my problem is I don't know if I even want to try to get reinstated. I don't really believe what I've been taught and only want to get back in because of my family and friends. Has anyone else had to deal with this? What should I do?

And why is that? I have a friend who moved here to Canada when she was 12. She's from South Africa and she's 16 now, and she still has the accent. However, her little sister moved to Canada when she was seven or eight, and now you can't hear any South African in her at all. Why is this?

Ok, 3 years ago I got hurt at work, I had a couple back surgeries, and I am still dealing with a great deal of back pain. I had an appartment with my boyfried, he was not working. I was working about 90 hours per week, to try to pay bills, well when I got hurt, I went on workers copt, I have been out of work since March of 2005. My boyfriend's grandmom hepled paid the rent, which was only right, since he was sitting around doing nothing all day long. So she paid the rent about 8 times for him. Now my boyfried and I are staying with his grandmother for the time being. I went to court for my settlement, which I will be getting the check for in the next few days. Now his grandmother wants $12,000 plus dollars from me, because she's paying the storage fee and wants the rent which she has paid, now I have things I need to do, like pay my back bills, and put my self in pilot school and all, I will have enough money to do all this, but I feel I do not owe her shyt, what would you do?

Can anyone explain to me (without being condescending) why some Christians think they can define what being Christian is? I have always thought a Christian is someone who believes Christ is the one and only path to salvation, yet I have heard these people claim groups that believe this way don't classify as Christian.

Hi, this Christmas I know my parents don't have much money so I wasn't expecting much for Christmas - last year I got a Harry Potter soundtrack CD and I was absolutely thrilled with it! Anyway, they surprised me with new tires for my car awhile back which was awesome because I really needed them, and that's not cheap! Anyway, I know they got my brother a PS3 among other things, my grandparents got a 20.1 inch LCD monitor, and they got my boyfriend a $50 rechargable wireless mouse for his computer along with some shirts for work (we live together), and I jokingly asked what he ordered me online (he had to order the mouse & monitor). He said he didn't have to order it he already bought it, I'd love it, and he got me lots of other stuff too!
I kept trying to tell them I was happy, I didn't need anything (I knew they'd get me SOMETHING though) and the tires were more than enough. Now I have lots more, and it'd be rude and hurtful to say "I don't want it". But I feel bad! What to do???

I'm currently reading a book called "Apocalypse 2012" and it's a scientific approach to the Mayan end times (12/21/2012 11:11PM). I’ve always had a fascination with post-apocalyptic survival scenarios. How do you feel about the end times? Of course, 2012 is regarded as sort of a rebirth, or new age. But with the coming of a new age there is much death.

Paddy goes to confession and says to the priest, "Bless me father, for I have sinned. It's been three weeks since my last confession, and in that time I have committed the sin of adultery."

The priest says, "Was it with Brigitte O'Hara?"

Paddy says, "I'm sorry Father, but I can't tell you who it was with."

So the priest says, "I'll bet it was with Mary O'Houlihan, the hussy!"

Paddy says, "I'm sorry Father, but I really can't tell you who it was."

The priest says, "Was it that Rose O'Connell?"And Paddy responds, "I've told you already Father, I can't reveal who it was."

So the priest says, "You're a wicked man Paddy O'Reilly. Say six Hail Marys and don't let me hear that you've transgressed again!"

As he is walking home, Paddy bumps into his friend Seamus, who says, "Paddy! How are you doin'? Is it the Church you'll be coming from?"

And Paddy says, "Aye Seamus, I've just been to confession."

"How was it?"

Paddy says, "Oh not too bad, I got six Hail Marys and three good leads!"

I received an email from another user recently and he was convinced that this scripture ---
Exodus 23:19 ". . .You must not boil a kid in its mother's milk."
---means that you can't eat Cheese Burgers.-- YES , he was serious.

The reasoning that there is cheese (cooking the curds of milk is used in cheese making) and meat in the same product.
So you would have meat in the cooked milk.

In this users mind this would violate this command in Exodus.

This scripture has nothing to do with Cheese Burgers.

Do you know what it is referring to ?

The new Marine Captain was assigned to a recon company in a remote post in the desert.During his first inspection, he noticed a camel hitched up behind the mess tent. He asks the First Sergeant why the camel is kept there. "Well, sir," is the nervous reply, "as you know, there are 250 men here and no women. And sir, sometimes the men have ... m-m-m.... urges. That’s why we have the camel, sir." The Captain says, "I can’t say that I condone this, but I understand about urges, so the camel can stay." About a month later, the Captain starts having a real problem with his own urges. Crazy with passion, he asks the First Sergeant to bring the camel to his tent. Putting a stool behind the camel, the Captain stands on it, pulls down his pants, and has wild, insane sex with the camel. When he is done, he asks the First Sergeant, "Is that how the men do it?" "Uh, no sir," the First Sergeant replies. "They usually just ride the camel into town where the girls are."

Okay, I’m 15 years old.
I’m a bisexual.
I have read the bible.
I just don’t agree with 95% of what it says.
I think I am agnostic.
But then I always find myself saying things like:
“For the love of God.”
“I Swear to God.”
“For Gods Sakes.”

What could this mean?
Can someone help me with what my religion is.

I’m not looking for someone to say you should be this religion because that’s my religion.
Please help me.
