You must be saved by the blood of Jesus. You cannot do anything to “earn” salvation. Jesus has already done everything necessary. All you are to do is (in prayer):

1. Believe—believe that Jesus loves you, that He died for you, and that He is the Son of God.

2. Ask Jesus—ask for forgiveness for all your past sins.

3. Confess—confess your sins to God. Admit you have sinned. Since you probably can’t remember everything you have done wrong, it is okay to ask Him to forgive “everything you have done that displeases Him.” If certain sins you have done come to your mind, ask forgiveness especially for them.

You can pray a simple prayer anywhere and anytime to recieve Jesus.

After you have been saved, tell others about the choice you have made, the prayer you have prayed, and how God has forgiven you. This “testimony” about what God has done for you helps strengthen the resolve you have made.

This should answer anymore questions you have:

And I want to be the first to say "Congrats and Welcome to the Family of God!!!" Now find a good church with other Christians to encourage you and help you grow.

Obey Acts 2:35-40 (among other Scripture you will study along the way) and live a pious life thereafter. This is the foundation and beginning of a spiritual walk with God.

Surrender your reason, logic and free will and cling to a book of myths rewritten hundreds of times and completely refuse to accept the possibility that you could be the slightest bit wrong and get angry when others don't agree with your fanciful notions about things like a big talking snake, magic apples, a lake of fire etc etc etc.

Enroll in an RCIA class at your local Catholic Church. Jesus promised, "I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:18). Among the Christian churches, only the Catholic Church has existed since the time of Jesus. Every other Christian church is an offshoot of the Catholic Church. The Eastern Orthodox churches broke away from unity with the pope in 1054. The heretical protestant churches were established during the Reformation, which began in 1517. Only the Catholic Church existed in the tenth century, in the fifth century, and in the first century, faithfully teaching the doctrines given by Christ to the apostles, omitting nothing. The list of popes can be traced back to Peter himself, the first pope. Here is a list:

Jesus’ Church is called catholic ("universal" in Greek) because it is his gift to all people. He told his apostles to go throughout the world and make disciples of "all nations" (Matt. 28:19–20). For 2,000 years the Catholic Church has carried out this mission, preaching the good news that Christ died for all men and that he wants all of us to be members of his universal family (Gal. 3:28). Repent of your sins. Not like a flu shot ,where you take it once and your done with it but continue to repent and ask God to keep you from falling. Trust in the lord and know him for who he is. Read his word to know him. Grow in your relationship with ( notice I said relationship and not rituals). "You will know the truth and the truth will set you free". Christ is the truth.

"If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

Your very next step should be to find a good church and get a Bible if you don't have one. :)

Do you believe Jesus Christ was the son of god? Congratulations. You're a Christian.

As for which club to join, I suggest choosing the one that makes the most sense to you.

as a former catholic i can tell you that if you pick a church and donate a lot of money. they will take care of you. you don't have to be any religion. most of our founding fathers identified themselves as deists, which means they people in a superioir intelligence that created the universe but doesn't get involved in human affairs. even a lot of them said this just to avoid ticking off voters. these guys would tell you " be just and good". the rest is labels, culture, money and power isn't it?
