Yes, I frequently find myself listening to non-Christian music, despite the fact that I'm a devoted Christian. The problem is that Christian music overall is of lower quality than non-Christian music. Much of the time, I don't listen to or can't understand the words, even when I love the music. I don't think it's bad unless you start to agree with the message. That being said, be careful out there, because a lot of the music has innuendo that can be a bad witness if you are naive enough that you don't understand the message but someone who hears you singing it does.

I listen to all kinds of music for arts sake. I don't take religious guidance from it. I've read the Communist manifesto but i'm not a communist. I have some Nazi propaganda posters from ww2 and I'm not a fascist, there needn't be any spiritual conflict involved. I can be stimulated by lots of things even though i don't sympathise with them.

No I don't. Music is spiritual. Maybe not the words in all songs but just listen to the tones. There are songs that the lyrics are very sad but the music lifts me. It's the tones in the music at help.

Only conflicts with the ideology of those who would have me become a lemming and sit in a crowded building with uncomfortable seats...
Otherwise I listen to anything but rap and christmas music (weird Al Yankovic is the exception)...

12That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.

It actually does, a bit. I'm an atheist, but I really like a lot of liturgical music. I just ignore the fact that it was written to glorify a non-existent entity.

Love smooth infectious energy of music...Music does not pollute the belief concepts...Music is indicative of the balance of mood and individual personality.

I'm agnostic and I listen to everything from Bad Religion to Barry Manilow. There's no conflict there.
