The guy I am seeing is very sweet and wonderful --treats me like a princess--Sometimes I am not that attracted to him. He isn't my ideal type--Its been about 2 months. I want to give the relationship a chance but I think it is important to be attracted to your mate as well--I was attracted to him initially but I am finding since we started going out that I don't find him that attractive. Please give sound advice. Thanks:)

I bought and wrapped a book for a Christmas party we had today. One girl actually felt around the presents and said she hoped she didn't get it. I work in a restaurant and had bought Anthony Bourdain's highly entertaining 'Kitchen Confidential', a book even the dumbest person would be able to enjoy. The girl that unwrapped it and had to keep it didn't even bother looking in it or reading the subject matter. I pointed out the receipt so that she would be able to carry it back.

Why are people so ignorant in this country? I'm so ashamed that it's always at war and occupying other countries when the people won't even do so much as to learn the proper pronunciation of 'Iraq'!

declares your position - Against God or For God?

Good words" and "evil words" have exactly the same effect. Either extreme entices a falling for the forbidden things of glory. Through knowledge of good, your ego find it way through religion, the arts and sciences. The darker way to power is through the politics of lying, cheating, deception and rhetoric. If you are drawn away from faith to the mere knowledge of good or knowledge of evil, it is only because those words have found their mark in some form of self-serving ego-need for power, glory, and recognition-the same weakness that caused Adam to lose paradise for us.
The desire to be like God

Now, where do you stand ?

In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul pretty much defines what biblical love is. But he says, 'If I have tongues of men and of angels', Here is my question. What is tongues of angels? Been wondering that. My favorite preacher doesn't even know what it means. Help?

A nationality or religion or both? A co-worker and I are split on this. I believe being Jewish is both religion and nationality, but she believes it is a religion only.

Also, if you think it is a nationality where do Jewish people come from?

Should we allow Religion in American Politics through the institution of such Religious ideals as those found in Shariah and other forms of Muslim law into the US law, or the even laws from the Torah, or Chinese Legalism into US law; or maybe from the Catholic Catechism?

IF NOT THEN should church and state be seperate?

What makes this hard is I miss my daughter and would like to live near her, but not in Las Vegas. , I am a widower and have no friends or relatives where I now live, although I do like my home and home area. Here there are many educational, cultural, sporting and other activities. Many are free. I have a nice home and don't mind living alone (I enjoy it). I am not lonely, most of the time, and keep busy in my retirement. The pluses to moving are: my daughter is my only child and wants me there and wants to help me as I get older. I am a widower and could move to an adults only community to meet more people. Inportant to live near her, as I get older. Housing is a little less expensive there; the weather is tolerable; there are places to visit (public library and casinos).

The negatives: Casinos and gambling (money and wealth - lack of or too much) seem to be the only things valued in Las Vegas, the weather is terrible - broiling hot in summer and cold in winter. Not much to do.

jesus(if he ever existed)would have followed the jewish faith and preached so,he had no intention of changing the status quo, just for people to get back to the jewish ways, which if you read some of the laws of the jews (some 600 plus)in there you will find what christians call their ways, and please dont quote the new testament as he would not have known that book as it was written by people who came later .

Why would someone come on R&S and block people for giving answers you don't like. Could some ones life be pathetic that they only want answers that say "Yes you right". I always welcome opposing view points and some times give them best answer. So why ask a question if the only answer you want is some one to repeat your own opinion.

The devil could have said those things: like homosexuals should be put to death and other hateful things. How can you believe that this are the words of good? Have Jesus ( who I consider a loving and forgiving person ) ever referred to those writhings? Are you sure it is the same religion? I just mean that there must be something itching in your mind if you consider yourself a good person.

I checked myself and made some corrections to spelling and use of terms, thank you. (I'm so glad this is still my incubation period.) The point stands:

Earth estimated population: 6,200,000,000/1 = 6,200,000,000.

God is the one, we are the others and back to the one. One is the operative number and need not be manipulated further. This shows how small one can be "divvied up", as in our case.

I'll use any means necessary to cause you to correct the illusion of separateness before it hits us like wall of water.

Love to all.

Dear religious people:

Why do you come to a website to ask questions? Why are all of the answers not in your Holy Book(s) and what makes you think other mere mortals will have the answers.

And when did asking God stop working?
