In the Orthodox religion, no person however the priest is permitted to deliver an eulogy at an Orthodox funeral. Others can talk most effective with the Bishop's permission. In the Catholic religion, what the priest did used to be nonetheless irrelevant and the columnist made the right analogy in the direction of the inappropriateness of enabling a feminine Episcopal priest to learn the Gospel vs. the baby intercourse scandals besides that the 2 don't have anything to do with each and every different. The Catholic Church has strayed a ways clear of her possess Orthodoxy to permit either one of the behaviors to arise.

a group of catholic women in st. louis just ordained some women as priests at a synagogue [because the bishop is more like the pope than anyone can tolerate]. the rabbi at this synagogue was scheduled to speak the following week at a nearby liberal parish, but the bishop told them to cancel the event. they had it anyway, on the sidewalk outside the church.
many pagan religions require both a priest and priestess.

Other denominations don't call them priests, but they allow women as pastors-- Methodists, Presbyterians come to mind.

Islam, allows the Muslim scholars, both male and female to get married, to be like all other normal people living in this world, so there wouldnt be a problem of homosexuality. They can enjoy sex legally by marriage, which was created by God, to show us, that this is just one of the pleasures, of what heaven wil offer, life after death.
