Yes, but since I have been here I have not gone to one yet We moved to a new state and I keep missing everything ....I like parades. It the fireworks were not in the sky I would have missed that.....I try to keep up by reading the newspaper but it is hard to learn what goes on in a new town.......back home I would take the whole family to the parades!!!!
Edit!!!!!! Bay did you see that I just got one of those badges beneath my name!!!!!!!!

We have a few; our Christmas parade was this past weekend. One of the college bowl games is held in my town, the parade will be held on December 29th. The high school has a Homecoming Parade each year in October. We have a Veteran's Day parade. That's about it for parades: we also have festivals, street parties, and races (foot and bicycle), so we often have 'detour' signs posted....:)

residing in a Small Rural city interior the South .. there seems to be a splash highway parade for a brilliant number of the twelve months .. and what truly gets human beings excited are those 'floats' and marching communities that throw those Multi-colour Mardi Gras Plastic Beads .. all sizes of necklaces, all colorings -- in certainty, the gawdier the extra desirable.

We just had the Santa Claus parade, then on Nov 11 we have a remembrance day parade of veterans. Then we had a Flower City parade. In the summer we have a classic car parade. I can't remember anymore.

Yes, quite a few, as I live outside Washington, DC...There are parades that honor the Cherry Blossoms; Gay/Lesbian and Transgender Pride Day; Thanksgiving; and a host of other reasons.
The Virginia suburbs where I live have parades often also.
I rarely go anymore - don't like large crowds

We have a huge circus parade the third weekend in July. It even has real elephants in it and lots of clowns. And, it is the 2nd largest parade in the state coming in after the Indy 500 parade.
