I am not a drinker, but have a "dinner and drinks" meeting at a fine restaurant here in Las Vegas. Is it ok to just drink water, or is there some other beverage that is more "acceptable" for non drinkers? I don't want to look foolish. This is my first time in this situation.

have murdered countless people over the centuries because they did not follow their beliefs?

The Crusades, for example...When I learned about this in school several years ago, I just couldn't comprehend why priests and bishops and other "Catholics" murdered thousands upon thousands of people because they were "heretics." Makes absolutely no sense to me.

the bible does not mean they are going to hell? But why do people almost presure me to read it. I tell them i will whenever i will but I dont. Whats wrong here? I still know Jesus as my Lord thank you.

I admit, I read more in the past than I do now. But I actually found reading enjoyable and a world I could escape into easily when I wanted. I'm hoping college eventually gets me back into reading for fun.

My brothers seem to dislike reading. I've never seen them do it!

Anyway, some of my fondest memories have come from book reading. From a ghost haunting a house to a Nazi Youth Boy discovering his Jewish heritage, these kinda books were pretty exciting.

My answer is I don't blame God for homosexuality.
I don't blame homosexuals for homosexuality.
I accept them as they are.
Why?
We are what we are.
What condemns homosexuals?
They can never reproduce "homosexually".
People born with both reproductive organs?
What did I just say?
God doesn't condemn homosexuality, if you can even call it that.

I wonder what you Christians conceive God of?

Do you feel God is as real as your mother or your five fingers on your hands?

Do you have the slightest of doubt that you might be mistaken or is there withour a shadow of a doubt that God is there?

If you are 100% certain that God is there as much as you know that you have five fingers on your hand then it is called "fact".

Is it hypocritical to say that you got faith that God is real when "faith" is only applied to the possibility and probability of something to be true.

All of you Christians would say that you are 100% certain that God exists thus saying that you got faith is contradicting your claims.

You wouldn't say that you got faith that you have five fingers because it is a fact.

If God is 100% real then it is a fact and not "faith".

So explain why you claim to have faith when you already know for a fact that God exists and how faith and fact can actually coexist.

Faith and fact can't coexist.

When Christianity is all about social justice, selling your possessions and being compassionate to those who have nothing? Just wondering, and I found some tidbits to start you off:

Wal-Mart only sells jewelry/watches from some manufacturer by the name of Elgin. Why is it that I can't find any Seiko watches or Rolex or Citizen or Fossil watches? My parents' response was "Those brands do not want to be affiliated with a 'Discount House.' " Why did they call it a "Discount House"? They also said that those brands are exclusive to specialty jewelry stores. Are my parents right? Do you think those brands belong ONLY at dedicated jewelry stores? Are those brands "too good" for Wally World?
