I just had a call from a friend in SA, her sister works in the Radiology department of a large Private clinic in Los Angeles. Her sister told her that a well known actor, was just brought in with a Gerble stuck in his rear end. Apparently they do this for adult fun. They pull the nails and teeth out of the animal. He is a Buddist? This is true. Is this aceptable?

I'd personally say McDonalds cuz u got that dollar menu, and their double cheesburger il give ya some salvation. dont forget the eternal big mac. I don't like wendys...I'm Lovin It

I just read an answer about "debating with atheists about souls." I was shocked, because I'm an atheist, and yet I believe in souls. What I do not believe in is a god in any relevant sense. Possibly a pantheistic abstraction or something, but not a creator god like in the Bible. Why should that imply there is no such thing as a human soul?

Just imagine for a moment, a natural universe where life eventually arose using the commonly available building blocks (a lot of carbon etc) and eventually turned into us, sentient social creatures, mammals with advanced reasoning capabilities who live in complex societies and spend time on the internet discussing existence.

I ask because I imagined a universe designed by a loving god and it doesn't really look like the one I find myself in.

In the newspaper in front of me is an article titled, "Japanese Authorities fed up with Islam"

Basically there was a group of Muslims who were demanding that Japanese officials to remove the picture of an Anime pig that was part of something. Anyway, the Cartoob pig was placed as an advert around the city. Muslims were offended at it and demanded that it be removed.

Japansese officials said piss off. The Muslims protested and then most of them were arrested.

Remember for the Danish cartoons, No muslims were arrested

so maybe we should do that with all religious people that are intolerant of different ideas of god or that dont believe in god?

oh and in case this gets thrown back at athiests, or at me anyway, Im fine with what ever you believe in, i just cant stand orginized religion because no matter how nice "they" are supposed to be, they are all pretty much pitted against each other, thats why i asked the question.
