Muslim world being hostile towards the US?. You kidding me right? I don't see any Muslim armies, or bombs going off in US soil. I am a Muslim first and an American second, and we all need to speak the truth and but fear behind us. Don't be afraid to talk about what is really going on, it is all facts. The Islamic world is actually paying a hefty price for the actions of few terrorists. You believe and trust your news sources that are not always independent and unbiased. If you really think your media never lies or is unbiased, just go back 4 months ago during the US election campaigns, you witnessed as Fox News said good things about McCain, as MSNBC said all horrible things about McCain and indirectly supported Obama, etc. If the US want to be the police of the world, they need to be fair. If Israel is wrong, Israel must be told they are wrong as Muslim radicals. You can't charge one side as the criminals over looking and ignoring the other side. When crime happens between two sides, your mission is to investigate and question both sides. The US, does not. I hope this will change. Islam is a religion that DOES NOT need a friend, or a protector. Husni Mubarak, King Abdalla and others that the West see a "moderate" Muslims DO NOT represent Islam. They are simply a minority in Islam with a lot of wealth and influence. Omar, once a Muslim leader rode his camel from Mecca to Jerusalem with his dusty and dirty cloth as his friend and him were taking turns to rest as they rode the camel. When it was Omar's turn, Omar did not insist that he was a leader, but did let his friend ride the camel as Omar lead the camel to Jerusalem, and when the King saw Omar leading the camel, he wondered why a leader would go through all that. Because, he expected Omar as a leader to be guarded, carried with horses and chariot. That is a good example of leadership among Muslims, NOT by individuals like the Saudi kings who sip a glass of wine as Palestinians can't afford to eat next door.

The Japanese aren't hostile towards Islam, they are very protective of their own way of life.
More power to Japan!
If you are a foreign land and don't like the way they do things, too bad. Get over it, and move on with your tiny life.

The Japanese are very protective of their own unique and special culture and history, and they don't like anyone messing with it. Anime may not be officially considered an "art form" by some, but it is uniquely Japanese. You don't come to another's country, enjoy their protection and hospitality, and then turn around and diss them. The host country, in this case the Japanese, by all means shouldn't allow it.
America used to be this way at one time, but we really aren't anymore. We are more than willing to gut our own traditions, culture, religion, and history (look at Christmas for example) all in the name of political correctness and not wanting to potentially "offend" anyone.

We in the west believe in freedom of worship, but we do not believe in race abd/or religious war, despite the propaganda from the unbelievers to the contrary.
We would have to change our morality to outlaw a form of faith in God...even if we don't agree with it.
We may disagree with Muslim theology, but we will defend to the death the Islamic's freedom of speech and worship!
Christians in Japan had to hide their Christianity at one time, using a certain kind of buddah as a symbol of Christ, because it was too dagerous to have a cross, etc. I hope you are not saying "bug off" to Christians too.

Apparently the Japanese haven't caught the PC flu (a sort of brain degenerating disease that leaves the mental faculties shattered, and fills the mind with all sorts of hallucinations and delusional nonsenses) like the Americans and Europeans have.

Firstly, the cartoons were deliberately created to mock and then republished to be provocative. Secondly, some Muslims were arrested and charged after the London demo.
Thirdly, I think if Muslims in Europe simply objected to a pig that was 'part of something' and had nothing to do with being provocative to Muslims, they would also be told to piss off. There is a big difference in deliberately setting out to offend people and their taking offence at something that is part of normal everyday life in a foreign culture.
