My boss is a lady first of all and she's in her late 50's and I've only had her as a boss for 2 and a half years. I've only got 5 days before our Christmas party(where some of us will exchage gifts) and I have no clue what to get her. Anyone have any ideas?

In Matt.5:9 Jesus said "peacemakers will be called sons of god"

In matt. 10:34 Jesus says" Do you imagine that I have come to bring peace on earth? I did not come to bring peace but division"

Alright christians stop praying to the one who makes division between you and your father between you and your mother and between your daughter and her mother in law.

For that is what jesus the so-called saviour of the world says (Matt.10:35-36) he has come to the world for.

it is believed that humans have always been troubled by the inevitablity of death and the meaning of life, their interest in these issues has led them to religion..

It seems to me everything was fine, until homosexuality came into discussion. If I am wrong, then I am wrong. However, tell me are you a homosexual, bi-sexual, transsexual, bi-curious, transvestite, or just attracted to them? It's ok if you are, but I want to know if that is the reason you dislike religion? Because it hurts people who don't deserve to be hurt?
*Note the Bible says homosexuals condemn themselves; also says judge not.
I believe homosexuals condemn themselves means they can't have children of their own. I don't think God hates homosexuals. After all, free will is God's will.

Have you ever done any research on it? Like the galapagos islands? Or theses group of people, don't remember their name, have 50% better vision underwater than europeans because they live on boats. Yeah we think we are related to the monkey but you seem to take that a little to literally. It doesn't mean some ape suddenly had a human baby pop out of it. The process is slow and still happening today.

Okay, so i was talking to my friend today, and she's getting married next summer! Yay! ^_^ Her RM proposed two days ago.

Well, she's a convert, and the only one in her family. She's always dreamed of the fairytale wedding, Vera Wang gown, flowers, her daddy giving her away, all that. Now, as much as she's looking forward to the temple wedding, she's confided in me that it just sank in that none of her family can be really involved at all.....and that makes her sad. She wants to have a ring ceremony afterward, and make it almost the way she imagined it, but heard that she can't make it very fancy, it has to be really simple.

Is that true? She has to downplay her ring ceremony in favor of her temple ceremony? Why? This part of it is more for her family than anything.....I ask because I heard the same thing, that your ring ceremony should be simple and brief.

I would like to start off by saying that my family is strictly Christian which believes in no sex before marrige.

Last night I walked in on my 14 year old daughter having sex with two other older boys I have never seen before. As soon as I opened the door I saw them and smelled marijuana and seen bottles of alcohol. I kicked the boys out, and the next morning I spoke to my minister and he wasn't very helpful. I tried to talk to her and she slapped me and said "I'm bad, I'll do what I want" and she swears at me. She doesn't respond to any discipline and if I punish her she goes out all night, and comes home in the morning with a hangover. I threatened to send her to a Religious healing camp, and I have gotten death threats from men I don't know.
What in Gods name can I do?

Sometimes I get bored, and I need a change every now and then. But I have "herd mentality" and I don't want to be the only one switching to Ba'hai. I figure, there must be a club, where you pay your dues(tithes) and they just change you over automatically. So, maybe one month, I can see the cool stained glass windows in a Catholic Church, and the next month I could be a Tibetan Monk or something. So, do you know of a Religion of the Month Club?
