--G-d is something we can imagine.

--Therefore, G-d does or doesn't exist.

The only proof that you will find, are the testaments found in the Book called the Holy Bible. If you do not accept or believe the contents of the Bible, there are no amount of words, any of us out here can offer you.

Does GOD exist? The choice is up to you. Nevertheless I would strenuously suggest that you BELIEVE IT Now, the proof will come, when you will least expect it.

My addition;

The fact that you have reworded your question allow me to reword my answer.

You are straddling the fence, and you are wavering in your conviction. as someone else answered earlier, you want someone to conveniently settle you indecision. That will not happen, and you can not have your cake and eat it too. Nevertheless let me leave you this illustration.

If I tell you there is a bear around a corner which you can not see, the proof is that the bear is around the corner, or the bear is not around the corner. But one thing is absolutely for sure, when you get around the corner you will find your proof. So it is with GOD, If there is no GOD, than your only worry will be What Is there, and will it be better or worst for you than GOD. When you find out, we will (I am sure) be very anxious to find out.

Many people are asking for proof of God. Sometimes they ask for evidence, and sometimes they ask for proof.

If evidence is desired,
all they have to do is pick up a Bible Dictionary or Encyclopedia and see that there is a Google search worth of evidence. AS in: Way too much information to read in one or ten sittings. The amount of evidence of God is tremendous, and Testimonial Evidence does not even have to be looked at until all the historical and archaeological evidence is exhausted.

So those who ask for evidence are revealing themselves to be lazy studiers and lazy thinkers. They do not want to approach the subject logically. I think that it is because they have already made up their minds. They do not gather the evidence and deduce the evidence with axiomatic
and systematic intellectual honesty. They really don't want to.

So:

This has been my experience. I also see that the lack of evidence that many claim as being the truth is explained in the Bible.

God did not give many people the proof.

He only gives the proof to those who trust Him.
The only one's who He wants are going to be able to trust Him.

It is impossible to know God unless He wants you.
He does not want everybody.

So God holds onto the proof.
He only gives the proof to those who He wants.

It is against human nature to want to know God.
God will give the proof to those He wants to give the proof to.

The proof of God is given through His Spirit.
He will not give His Spirit to those He does not want.

So those people who claim that there is no proof of God are saying that THEY do not have any proof. It does not mean that there is no proof, they just don't have the proof.

If they say that they don't have the proof, they are saying the truth. God didn't give to them the proof.

Esoteric is a good word to describe the situation I am talking about. Jesus uses esoteric phrases ( as in the reason why he spoke in parables ) , in order to throw off those who might hear that God didn't want.

All this means that God does not include most people in the world in His plan for salvation.

From the Bible, this describes the meaning of the words of Jesus when he said, " Many are called, but few are chosen."

The call of salvation went to all who heard it. But only a remnant were given the ability to respond to the message.

God has long been the God who saved a remnant of the people - even the Jews.

So you will not get the proof of God except through the Spirit. If you do not get the proof of God through the Spirit, you will only get the proof after you die.

If you do not get the truth before you die- God did not want you.

Very good question, sorry I don't have an answer, but I'll lend you my thoughts.
I don't think man created himself.
Somehow man was created.
If evolution, then somehow the ape was created.
If from the big boom, somehow matter was created.
I personally believe in God, therefore I'll ask anybody, even if he didn't exist isn't it better to be good and aren't the ten commandment just good rules to follow?

I realize this is only my personal opinion, but I think the fact that absolutely no evidence can be found to support the existence of the christian god proves that he in fact does not exist.

This is why I'm an atheist. I make no claim either way so I have to prove nothing. I'm simply without belief in any deities.

==

"Get me to believe/stop believing in god."

Had you worded it this way originally I would have rolled my eyes and moved on. Why would I care what you believe or don't?

You will have to do your own research and come to your own conclusion..

I suggest a wide variety of religious, mythology and science texts..

Write a list of questions you want answered, as you read keep notes (a good method is to write each question on a sheet of loose leaf paper then write possible answers from your reading under and on subsequent pages ) expand the questions list as you do your research many times a possible answer to a question leads to more questions..

Only the Holy Spirit can move in your heart to believe in God. Read the Bible, open your heart to Him and you will believe.

That question is not for me to answer. If you believe He exists, then He exists. If you don't believe he exists then he doesn't. The choice is yours.

We can't get you to believe or unbelief, why should We. We rather mind our own business and have a merry life. Every one to his own ways if God didn't interfere.

If there is God, than He is almighty or the creator, than if He wants you to belief Him, What's is it to you ? Or us.

It's mathematically, philosophically, and logically impossible to prove a negative, so don't get too excited about getting answers that claim to do that.
