Please share stories of hope or maybe you have no hope?

I'm Afro-Caribbean living in England so I am not African-American. It was only through the internet that I found out about this watermelon stereotype used for Black people. Apparently we all love watermelon. Did this stereotype come from America because I've never heard of it until about a year ago.
To me it's like saying "Chineese people love apples" I just don't get it. Everyone eats apples. What's so special about apples? How can this be a stereotype?
Some stereotypes I can understand a little bit but not this one. How did it come to be?

If God created us, which I believe He did, why would he make it so humans crave sex even before they are married.

"Your forgetting that sex wasn't originally thought of as a sin. There is a difference between what the Bible says and what is truth. The Bible was written by men. Ergo, alot of the stuff what adjusted to fit the times. Thus, sex, a perfectly natural act, became a sin." (this was taken from another site, someone else wrote this)
heb 13:4. Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
I dont get how people use this quote to back up the sex is sin because adultry means "voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than his or her lawful spouse"It makes no sense to me. Did God even specifically say it was a sin to have sex before marriage or did a bunch of people writing the bible think it was a good idea?
If someone does have sex before marriage, does that mean that they will burn in hel

Aside from belief of Original sin, do you personally feel evil deep down? If so, do you think you are as bad as Hitler or Bin Laden?

Or is all the prep work dampening the mood?

I finally have most of the gifts wrapped. Cards are not out yet. Tree is up. Other decorations scarce this year due to not wanting to get them out. Lights outside pretty! Only half made it out this year. Seems I am only 50% into it for some reason.

The Highland minister wound up his services one morning by saying, " Next Sunday I am going to preach on the subject of liars. In preparation for my sermon, I should like you all to read the 17th Chapter of Mark."
On the following Sunday, the minister rose to begin, and said," Now then, all of you who have read the 17th Chapter of Mark, please raise your hands. " Nearly every hand in the small congregation went up. Then said the minister, " You are the very people I want to talk to. There is no 17th Chapter of Mark ! "

Like on X-Men, but not to that extreme that hollywood has put on it. Like general powers, like telekinesis, or hydrokinesis, or a slight bit of weather control.

Not to be offensive, but were just a complex organism with the same DNA as mice... just more brain cells and apposable thumbs. What is the rationale for being an atheist: knowing that we weren't created by a supreme power that judges us but rather a product of organic compounds evolving over billions of years, or being religous: knowing we were created by a supreme power that judges us? Why aren't more people riding the fence on the topic?

My cat had a lot of problems this year--major surgery in January (he ate plastic), dental surgery this week, asthma flare-ups, plus me becoming a total hypochondriac after his first surgery and rushing him to the vet constantly. I'm very grateful to the vets and especially the vet techs who took such good care of him. (The techs LOVE him and dote on him whenever he comes in.) But on the other hand, vet care is expensive and I feel they've been well compensated for their work. (Vet care is super-expensive.) I was going to buy a few pounds of bakery cookies (about $20)--on principle alone, would you do it?

I suck at science. I'm spending most of my free time reading science books, but I'm afraid it does nothing for me. Do you think Richard Dawkins (pbuh) approves of atheists who are not good in this field? All I want him is to be proud of me.

I don't want to be a bad atheist. Am I going to suffer in the Ignohell if I don't keep trying harder?

(parody to all those ''How do I become a better believer?'')

Judaism were to create a religious sect that called itself the real Christianity because it rejected worship of and through Jesus but brought people to "fulfilled Christianity" through living in the same belief that Jesus followed.

We could show them how they honor Christianity by seeing Jesus as a fully human man who hoped to do the job of messiah but failed.
They could not celebrate Easter because it is is adapted Astarte/Isis fertility goddess worship and the celebration of the "rebirth" of Adonis/Tammuz bringing spring, where offerings of eggs and things associated with fecundity were given to placate those pagan deities. So to best honor Christianity and the faith of Jesus, they would have to eschew Easter and any attempt to believe that he was resurrected. That way they would be the REAL and "fulfilled" Christians.
Jews won't do this absurd thing, but would it make Christians see how wrong it is to call Christianity Judaism? It should offend good Christians, too. Shalom.
