If God created us, which I believe He did, why would he make it so humans crave sex even before they are married.

"Your forgetting that sex wasn't originally thought of as a sin. There is a difference between what the Bible says and what is truth. The Bible was written by men. Ergo, alot of the stuff what adjusted to fit the times. Thus, sex, a perfectly natural act, became a sin." (this was taken from another site, someone else wrote this)
heb 13:4. Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
I dont get how people use this quote to back up the sex is sin because adultry means "voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than his or her lawful spouse"It makes no sense to me. Did God even specifically say it was a sin to have sex before marriage or did a bunch of people writing the bible think it was a good idea?
If someone does have sex before marriage, does that mean that they will burn in hel

i think the strict laws in the old testament give clues ... sex before marriage is basically only accepted if the two marry ... if they are known to have had sex they are to marry immediately ... the woman is only allowed to have sex with one man ... unless that man dies and that releases her ..

Yes, fornicating is expressly forbidden in the OT and in the NT. You will find "fornicators" in the same breath as "idolaters" and they are both doing wrong.

What you are obviously forgetting is that people got married almost immediately after puberty at the time the Bible was written. Girls were married at around 13 (read Romeo and Juliet) and guys in their late teens. Life expectancy was around 40. Nowadays, people don't even get MARRIED until they are 40, when they would have been great grandparents already. And of course, the command was directed towards men, who would have been initiating the fornication, which damaged a woman's life prospects. This was to protect women.

Sex has never been a sin, it only becomes sinful when it occurs outside of God's plan for a person's life (complete trust and committment to a partner for life) Why this rule??? Well, look at the total breakdown of the family, AIDS, kids without dads, crime, abortion, etc, etc, that happened after the 60s when people had the "sexual revolution." This thing has consequences for the greater good of society, it isn't all about you.....

Your first question denies the humanity of God's creation, in the Garden we did not crave sex because there was no lust, after the Garden lust became a weakness, Genesis is all about this: many quotes etc...
God's law both new and old testament is like any law, made to protect people from abuse, keep civilization growing and at peace, well of course this ideal.
Sex is a natural relationship that should in it's highest grace be a relation between married couples for the creation of children, a holy act of two people. True love is not emotion for the flesh but love for God and His creation.
The Catholic Church does not expect perfection just repentance, everyone thinks sinful thoughts but if we want to grow in spiritual wisdom we try and overcome these sinful tendencies to get closer to God, who LOVE

All I can say is what you're addressing is why Shrinks make so much dough. FYI if sex had been a sin upon creation than Adam and Eve along with their offspring wouldn't have had enough children to populate the earth. Sex and mating are natural regardless of with whom and when; married or not. It's important to say further that unprotected sex is a SIN to Secular society...for the spawn from that is often unwanted and that's simply not good for humanity. Happy Holidays!

ITS CALLED FORNICATION

and is a SIN

and the only reason written one can PUT away ( Divorce ) thier spouse .

if they had , had pre-marital sex and thye didnt tell thier intended partner........

and SIN is SIN
and punishable by Death

and SIN entered in , at the garden of Eden
with disobedience and refusal to accept Gods Word
thus ALL sin came in through that
very act !!!

and adultry is when a married person commits it with some one other then his / or her spouse

Before marriage its called fornication

SEX in marraige is OK
and was designed to procreate

not just to jump from one to another to satisfy the flesh and the Lust of it

and it is honorable and the MARRIAGE BED is undefiled

outside it
one SINs against ones own body !!!!!!!!

That is an interesting question. I am not so sure that God actually SAID that sex before marraige is a sin, but He sure intended it. It is because you should wait until you are married. God intended sex to be fun, and shared only with the one you married. Why would you want to have sex before marraige, eventually break up with the person you had it with, and then compare it with the sex you have with your spouse? It will never be as good. God created sex so we can create new life, and not for pleasure.

The garden of Eden story was plagiarized from the Sumerian tales of the Annanki, who were in that region mining gold, enslaving the people already there. These slave drivers thought the humans spent too much time having sex instead of working, thus the 'evil' added to sex from the religions that arose from that area.

Corinthians 6:18-20

"18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s."

3 Nephi 27-29

"27 Behold, it is written by them of old time, that thou shalt not commit adultery;
28 But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman, to lust after her, hath committed adultery already in his heart.
29 Behold, I give unto you a commandment, that ye suffer none of these things to enter into your heart;
30 For it is better that ye should deny yourselves of these things, wherein ye will take up your cross, than that ye should be cast into hell."

The latter scripture is the words of Jesus Christ himself.

God put laws in place to protect you from hell. You won't go to hell for having sex before marriage, but you can throw yourself off the course God has for you. If you wait until marriage, you won't have to worry about diseases, or getting pregnant by a man who doesn't want to be in the picture. But you do have to be careful of being sexually immoral, which will lead you to hell. Trust in God and study your word and you'll learn the difference.

In ''olden times'', by Jewish law, a man having sex with a woman was a way of consecrating a marriage. It was one of three ways to bring about a marriage. It was not a sin, but a way to marriage, and the Christian church made it a sin.
