I would go back and live in the time of Tom Sawyer, to be able to not worry about so many things, and where life was easier, less stressfull. So where would you go?

Anytime after anesthesia was invented will be fine with me.
What happens if I hurt my leg in 1658. They'll cut my leg off, while I'm still awake.

I don't think so! lol

Perhaps the 1960's or 70's. So I can see how it was and go to WoodStock.

And just because everyone else might say it. Yes I would love to go back to early biblical times and see what was really fact and what was made up. I would love to see God talking to Moses through the burning bush. That would be a sight to behold.

This is a response to Huck Finn's time:

Well, I wouldn't have lived as I was born with some serious birth defects. Had I lived there is a chance I would not have lived past my first birthday as there were no antibiotics, no/little trauma care, and no vaccines. I probably wouldn't have cancer but I would have had lots of infectious and communicable illnesses that may have stunted my growth.

As a female, I probably would have started working in the kitchen/garden/whatever at a young age, and may not have gotten much of an education past the 4th or 5th grade, unless my family was wealthy. I would have had many fewer choices, which does result in less stress, but my life would NOT have been easier.

But rafting down the Mississippi River would have been cool back then, before the Army Corps of Engineers straighten out the river!

Response to the gun item: you probably would not have been able to afford a gun, and the chances that you would have been killed by a gun would have been MUCH higher than today.

Sorry to say, in most of the older times listed, we folk would have been the "peasants" and would have had little or no leisure time, or have had ANY opportunity to better our circumstances.

I would love to go back to the time when the pyramids were built. It would be awesome to study the knowledge of a time when they could put together something that big that lasted that long. I would love to know what other knowledge has been lost to humanity.

This is asked quite often.

On a historical note I'd probably go back to the Garden of Eden to see for myself how easy someone can get turned around.

On a personal note, I'd go back to spend time with ones who aren't here anymore.

On a humorous note, I go back to see the makers of Y!A and to see what hopes they had for it, and possibly to tell them about some of the idiotic (not this one) questions and answers on here.

The 1920's. They seemed to have alot of fun and really enjoy each other's company...and life probably wasn't so easy then, but they were able to keep a light heart.

I'm split between ancient Rome (chariots! palaces! intrigue! latin!), the 19th Century (where I could hobnob with Marx and Engels) and the 1970s (To see the Clash and the Pistols live).
