Or is all the prep work dampening the mood?

I finally have most of the gifts wrapped. Cards are not out yet. Tree is up. Other decorations scarce this year due to not wanting to get them out. Lights outside pretty! Only half made it out this year. Seems I am only 50% into it for some reason.

I have always like Christmas and it’s a special time of year. I don’t let the liberals get me down. Its better to give than receive especially at Christmas. I like going out to buy and mingle with others at this time of year. The religious aspects do not bother me at all but add to the festive events. I like seeing my long lost cousins, aunts, and uncles. That’s cool. Christmas should be a time of cheer, and not full of politics, like it is for some. Lighten up people, even the hacks take time out at Christmas. . . So have a Merry Christmas and happy new year.

I'm really excited for Christmas! Part of the fun, for me anyways, is buying/wrapping presents and putting up decortaions

yes, my daughters (ages 4 and 6) have reached the age where they are starting to appreciate what is going on during the Christmas season.
