To answer your initial question, I think people are rude because they (1) don't know any better, (2) are preoccupied and don't think, (3) are in pain, which can mke anyone short-tempered, or (4) are angry with the world. It sounds as if the person who answered your earlier question is in the last category, but I didn't see either your queston or his answer. However, if he was that nasty, I hope you reported his answer.

BTW, I'm an English teacher. <: )

Because they don't care about being polite. I have to say it doesn't bother me, infact, rude people intreuge (perhaps an english teacher could correct that spelling for me) me (and my grammar).

Something about people who do what the f*ck they like which i respect.

Or, they think they are better than you. I don't respect that, but it's still interesting.

Or, they lack the required skills to be polite, as a scientist I've experienced this the most.

That's actually not a typo. A typo would have been applicanst. Or appilcants. Either way, it was pretty harsh. I see people with MUCH worse grammar on here!!! Some people start drinking early on Fridays and have nothing better to do than be smart-asses on Yahoo Answers!
