Where do they think I found these flaws? If everytime I read the bible I find a flaw, how productive would it be for them to tell me to read the bible? Are they telling me they want me to read it and ignore the flaws?

Where does it come from?
How can we cope with it now? What practical tools does Buddhism give me today?
What is the solution?

I was a cashier all my life and only made one mistake of giving over $5 back and the customer was cool about it. Never was short or over.

NOW, I was at Costco the other day and an older man gave a clerk a $100 bill for a $36 total purchase. Clerk gave him back only $4 !!!. It was so shocking and obvious. He noticed it and asked for his $60 back which she gave him.
Mistake or no, but this was blatantly outrageous, and obvious.
Good thing he paid attention.
My Q is if a register is over $100s of dollars or more does the company keep it if no one comes forward?

Ok so i am really kind of anti-gay but no i am so confused.i have been in love with my friend for over a year now and she knows it.she used2come 2my house and one night she stayed i played with her hair and stroked her face.when we watched a dvd i would tickle round her belly button.she pulled her top down a bit but then i continued doing it and she let me. i would sometimes but my hand on her leg2. she said she would only see me if i stopped it so i did.one night at circus with her i was thinking about putting my arm around her waist.i didn't realise i touched her until she jumped.we argued a bit about it but got over it.we never talk about this or argue over it in person.she says its weird and i know it is.i can't get over her.she won't see me now because i go on about'it'.i really love her as a friend and i hate the thought of being with a girl in gay way but love being with her.she is amazing.i hate the way i feel and only can talk about it to her.how can i make things better again

Aren't there any pen pal sites that are just that? Don't want one for dating, I am semi retired, and bored out of my mind. I just want to find a few people my age, simular interests, etc. just to write to. Do you other seniors remember writing (and) recieving letters. Wasn't that fun?

In this recent post:

..one girl said: "The scriptures interpret themselves."

If this is true, then why is the non-Catholic christianity divided into hundreds of denominations which disagree on doctrine? If the scriptures "interpret themselves" , then shouldn't you guys be all teaching the exact same thing?

The answer is obvious: Sola Scriptura is a FALSE doctrine of men. I just want to see if any protestants are honest enough to admit it.

'About this flood thing...

Is it possible to believe both the story of Noah's Ark, the worldwide flood etc. AND believe the earth is six thousand years old?

If the flood began on the estimated date (2268 BCE), then just HOW did civilization manage to rebuild itself approximately 400 years just in the nick of time for the destruction of Soddom and Gomorrah?

This was inspired by a question that asked how the Israelites were beaten/enslaved by other nations after the flood; shouldn't they have had the best stuff, seeing as how everyone else was DEAD?

But then it occured to me that all of the empires could not have existed, period. Unless one family can rebuild civilizations in five centuries, that is.

I know a few people at my church who DO believe in both the young earth and the population of the world being killed by the flood. But HOW? What am I missing?

When I use that term, I mean the minor doctrinal points about which true Christians can disagree because the Bible does not speak in a clear straight forward manner about it. I never use it to mean that sin is okay, or to talk about something that scripture speaks clearly on.

However, I get the impression that some use it to mean that sin is not always sin, or that the Bible can be manipulated. So please clarify what You mean by it.

the Bible that these protestants are using belong to the Catholic Church, yet they are using it to their own advantage against the Catholic Church that provided them the Bible in the first place.

doesn't the Christian God supposed to hate ingratitude? so what are these protestants showing towards Catholicism? can anyone call it gratitude?

Subject: Let's Say Thanks

This is something that I received today and I sure think it is well worth the time to do. I sent a card and I hope you do too. I also am passing it on as I am sure that you will. Thanks for taking the time to say THANKS.

Something cool that Xerox is doing

If you go to this web site : http://www.letssaythanks.com/Home1024.html
you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick ou t who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! This is a great site. Please send a card. It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our guys and gals over there need to know we are behind them...

A man has a new job as a zookeeper. The head zookeeper tells him that if an animal dies round here then you will have to pay for them.
His first stop is a bird house and he finds 200 finches dead. The zookeeper looks on the chart on the cage which reads $1 a bird. The zookeeper cant afford that so he throws all the dead finches into the lions cage for the lion to eat.
His next stop is the ape house and he finds 10 chimps dead. He looks on the chart on the cage which reads $10 per chimp. He cant afford so much money so he throws them in the lion cage for the lion to eat.
His final stop is the bee hives. He finds 1000 bees dead. He looks on the chart and it reads a dime per bee. Knowing he cant afford such money, he mashes all the bees into a ball and throws them in the lion cage for the lion to eat.
The next day a new lion comes into the cage.
''whats the food like'' He asks
''Its not bad'' Says the lion ''Yesterday we had finch, chimps and mushy bees!''

i am a muslim and I realy hate to explain to people why Islam is a peaceful religion because i know that what some muslims did to you guys in the name of Islam was awful and you kind of have the right to be pissed, but i want u to know that the quran is not the one responsible. People always quote verses from the Quran claiming they are violent for example: 2:191 And slay them wherever ye catch.. them..Such is the reward of disbeleivers.even as a muslim i fell into the trap of thinking that is violent and this is a common verse people use to prove that but the midsection of the verse is missing. lets look at the whole verse to c if it makes a diffrence. 2:191 And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of the unbeleivers.
makes a diffrence?
