I know the premise of the holiday, but would like to hear details about how Yule is actually celebrated--rituals, traditions, etc. How do I as a non-pagan give a holiday greeting to someone celebrating Yule or otherwise acknowledge their holiday? For example, if I am invited into their home during Yule, should I have a certain greeting or bring something or what? Thank you for all real answers.

i was wondering..
ok so,
say you dont believe in god or anything you an athiest..
well what if there really is a god
and you die.
what happens to you?
do you go to heaven?
I started thinking about this when i was at youth group the other day and i asked my friend what she thouught and she said you would go to hell.
but that just doesnt make sense to me.
i guess i think to much.


what do you think? i need a better understanding.

I am alittle saddened by the fact that so many people can deny christ is such a blasphemus manner..I just wander how u really feel about it?.do you really believe that this is it?..after you die ther is nothing else, isnt that sort of a sad existance?..to have no faith..in anything?

Who else can't stand that poor comeback?

I got in a fight with a friend the other day. I explained I didn't want to talk to her because she was acting like [insert reasons here]. In turn, she states: takes one to know one - a statement I haven't heard since middle school! The statement did not bothered me because not only did that not describe me but it also set some of my reasonings in stone. (And it just disreguarded my reasons unfairly)

It just made me realize how silly the phrase was itself. What do you guys think?

framed it and put it up on a wall in our house. I am proud of it because it looks really good but then I don't want to look like a show off. I was thinking putting it in our bedroom???

She does the same thing to my SIL. The only gifts she ever really likes come from her daughters. Even when my husband suggests a gift she is polite but after we leave makes snotty comments. Since money is very tight this year, I have opted for making handmade crocheted rugs (known as rag rugs). They are beautiful & very heavy plus after making a couple of them for less than $5 my neighbor wanted to buy them & offered me $45 a piece for them. I said sure & sold them. While I could use that money to buy her a nice gift, I figure that it will still be laughed at - even though she is not weathly she does not have extra bills to pay so she is somewhere in the middle for people her age. Therefore, would a handmade rug (made to match her home) be okay? She does live in the country & her entire home is done in a country theme. I'm just tired of spending money on gifts for her. Like I said, the only gifts that are not made fun of would be the ones from her daughters. Any suggestions?

Imagine you have a family, 4 beautiful children who want to take your advice because you are truly a loving parent and you have built a home for them safe and secure where no rapists, liars, thieves or murderers can get in, no abusers allowed to touch them and they enjoy life and light and abundant happiness and Joy .........now..........you are a very fair and loving person and someone knocks on your door and begs you to let them live with you because they are scared (there are gangs and violence in the streets and there is no safe place for this person to be) and that person says "can I be in your family I'm a good person?" and you have millions and can afford to take them in so you do. they begin to beat and rape your daughters because when you tell them the rules of your house they say "you aren't the boss of me I can do what I want'.........would you let them live there? This is the concept of what Jesus is saying about Heaven.......he's not chasing people down to punish them "K?

Why or why not, and what religion are you?

I myself am an atheist and I don't fear death (as I have come very close to it many times), but I do hope that it does not come for a long, long time. I still hope to experience so much that this world has to offer.
